The final strip (http://www.farcrygame.com/us/community_pennyarcade.php?screenid=10975) from Penny-Arcade's take on Far Cry Instincts (http://www.farcrygame.com/us/community_pennyarcades.php) is up.
I remember a lot of talk when the first strip came out. Let's just say that things have come full circle.

That ended a bit weird.. I guess it's meant to get you into checking out the game, but it felt unfinished.

Is that where the game starts? In a truck in the jungle?
After the promising 2-page start, the whole thing flatlined.

Interesting, I thought it picked up a little bit after the first two strips. Oh well.
I don't think that is how the game starts, though. Seems like Tycho said that you don't get the crazy powers until near the end of the game.

I liked the ending. They started with the soda, and ended with the soda. Those guys are about to get F***ED by a superpowered Jack (as seen in the game.) It's just funny that his superpowers appear to well up from his anger over having the soda stolen rather than any kind of injection.

I dont know anything about the Far Cry Universe, but the comic stayed with the Penny Arcade style of humor, randomness driving the story, just like the last line about throwing half of it away

This is by far my favorite of the PA ad-comics. The humor was spot-on, their take on the character goes a different direction from what you see in the game, but doesn't take away from the game experience at all, in fact; it adds a new layer if you want to play and still see Jack as eternally sunshine-minded. Great stuff, I wish they'd do more like this.

This has been my favorite PA game comic, as well. The comic also fits with PA's overall style; you'll find that in most PA strips, the ending is implied, but never seen. The "action" usually begins before the first panel in the strip. Penny-Arcade is one of the greatest comics ever created, IMO, not just the createst web-comic.

The whole thing has been pretty much perfection. After that wierd Painkiller thing, and the rediculous Myst 5 2-pager, it's good to see that they're back on top.
This is my second favorite outside project of theirs. The first being that hysterical Chaos Theory spy instruction booklet.

My favourite comic is the one with the news interview with them, about them being horrible people, I'd find it but it would take FOREVER. Classic, classic.

Actually, PA has a really good search engine for their old comics. I bet you could find it pretty easily if you tried.

Admittedly I'm not a big PA fan (they're writing is better than their comic), but I thought the whole series of strips was pretty weak.

Definitely one of their best game comics. Being a big fan of Orange soda makes it even more funny. LOL.

I knew you could do it! :D
That's a beautiful comic, by the way. That "punching a baby" line is one of my all time favorites.
