Gamecloud (http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=1824) has some hands on impressions of Rag Doll Kung Fu.

In its simplest terms, Rag Doll Kung Fu is a fighting game but the similarities between this game and titles like Soul Calibur or Dead or Alive are mininal. The first thing that comes up on the screen is a grainly live action movie, made as an obviously homage to all those old Asian kung fu movies. You then get into the game itself which not only has a single player tutorial and campaign but also a full LAN/Internet multiplayer mode. The biggest thing you notice off the bat is that the game is entirely mouse driven; you don't use your keyboard at all. It's a little hard to get used to but thanks to the tutorial we got up to speed with this unusual control scheme pretty quickly.
Release Date: 10/12/2005 (PC (http://www.gametab.com/pc/rag.doll.kung.fu/4703/))

Sounds great. Guess we'll find out how good it is this week.

well i've got it pre-ordered, since it's cheap and looks like a good laugh, even if it's only for 5 min.

I did a playtest yesterday of Ragdoll, and I think I was more frustrated than intrigued. It's definitely interesting, though the novelty wore off fast for me. I played to the 7th level at least and then I realized I was bored. The videos are so low-budget it's laughable, but that's the point. It's supposed to be silly.

I might try it again, but probably not. It's definitely worth a spin, though.

It's pretty good, but maybe a little frantic against the AI. Much better in multiplayer (LAN)
