It could have been a whole lot better, but the Mummy movie was a lot of fun. The 1st is still one of my favorite movies.
Who thinks that Pineapple Express will top The Dark Knight? I hope so. I can't wait for it. Rolling Stone called it the next great stoner movie.

Wanted was a horrible movie. All I have to say about it.

The entire series is a cheese fest, and if you don't mind that they are awesome. Jet Li as the Mummy just adds bonus points.

Wanted was my guilty pleasure of the summer. I don't know why, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. (And no, it wasn't Jolie, I think the movie would have been much better without her.)
I finally got to see The Dark Knight this weekend. My wife's impressions were that she liked the first one better. I'm not sure.
More importantly, anyone who's interested in horror movies should try to watch Midnight Meat Train. Lionsgate has buried it in only about 100 discount theaters throughout the country. I haven't seen it myself (plan on later in the week), but have heard good things about it. And you've got little to lose, since the only theaters where you can catch it are discount theaters.

You expect a stoner movie to gross more than Batman? What did Harold and Kumar do its opening weekend? :p
Glad to see Swing Vote bombed.
Did anyone see Step Brothers? Any funny? No Will Ferrel haters need comment.

Yes, but this is from the hottest comedy group working right now. Everything they touch has been gold.

I plan to see Pineapple Express opening day, the gf and I LOVE Seth Rogan and crew. But in my defense as a major Batman fan, I've already seen Dark Knight twice.

I thought step brothers was hilarious, but I'm a big fan of the Will Ferrel style humor.

Anyone seen the Journey to the... movie in 3D? For some reason the GF is interested in seeing that. Dunno why, as that's not usually her thing. But I don't know a soul who's actually seen the thing to give me a review.

Guess you missed Spigot raving about it (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57518&highlight=journey+center) a little while back.

Not to spill your milk, but I have heard that one of the reasons that Lionsgate has released MMT to such a limited number of theaters is that the movie stinks. They are doing the absolute minimum in their contract before dumping the film directly to video.

That's not too big of a surprise, but the reviews I've seen so far have been pretty positive. I'm still willing to give it a chance.

I'm kinda disappointed Hellboy II didn't make more money. Granted it didn't redefine the super-hero genre or anything, but it was still damn fun and looked great. Maybe DVD is where Hellboy belongs...

I finally saw The Dark Knight this past Friday night, and I loved it! It is such a fantastic movie. I thought that pretty much all of the actors did a superb job.

Apitow films are so over rated. his juvinile penis humor is very played to me, Like SuperBad, its like a more jewish and stoned "American Pie."

I think they will pretty easily break even on Hellboy with DVD sales.
Thats about all they did with HB 1, and it got a sequel.
79 mil for a super hero movie called Hellboy is still pretty impressive imo.

Brendan Fraser has two movies in the top five. I typed it, and I'm reading it over and over...and it looks wrong.
Brendan Fraser has two movies in the top five, and one of them isn't "Space Chimps." He isn't even in that one. I don't know what else to say.

Yep, Superbad definitely lived up to it's name. I loved 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, though.

They made a movie called Space Chimps and I don't know about it? This a a travesty of epic proportions.

Agreed, Knocked up and 40 year old both had redeeming qaulities and some good dialog, I don't think Seth Rogan is some sort of genius, but he is a refreshing break from the all purpose pretty boy that is popular in hollywood.
Interestingly, all the Batman movies (including the pre-Begins ones) are in the top 400.
