MechWarrior meets FinalFantasy?

It's already kind of been done. Xenogears, anyone?

The races in this game are going to be horribly unbalanced. Lets see... humans, elves or... giant robots. Hmmm... which would I pick?

easy: gnomes.

A co-worker of mine has been playing this for a while.. I think it's a Korean import MOG. Frankly watching him play reminds me of early EQ - walk up to non-mobile enemy, slash slash slash - rinse, repeat.

This game will be awesome. I hope I get in the beta.

Yup, it's a Korean import MMORPG, pretty successful there and in China. It could be a decent game, but all of my experiences with Korean MMOG imports so far have been negative - as far as the playerbase and gameplay go. Grind grind grind... I'll probably give it a go all the same; they tend to be fun for a month or so.

If it IS the same as the one my co-worker is playing, trust me nobody here will like it. It makes Lineage 2 seem like Morrowind as far as grinding goes. I don't think I've ever even seen my co-worker talk to anyone ever. Just kills anime monsters (not good looking, either) over and over and over...

More like an Escaflowne (http://www.anime.net/escaflowne/mecha/fanelia/escaflowne/) ripoff, but of course, this is a game.

Oddly enough, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the site as well.

As for not talking to anyone, I can hardly blame him. I played Lineage 2 for a few weeks on and off, I tried to communicate a bit but there wasn't much point. Less than half the people I was playing with (on US servers) could speak english, less than half them would actually talk back. Aaand 90% of them were griefers.

I was kinda hoping it would have Giant Robots in a MMO.

Oh well, I will just wait for a MMO set in the Firefly universe.

>MechWarrior meets FinalFantasy

That is NOT a good thing.

Saw this game in action in Korea... looks a bit "grind grind grind" (like so many Korean games).
