THQ has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Gas Powered Games for its RTS game Supreme Commander. Chris Taylor is known for his work with Total Annihilation under CaveDog, and Supreme Commander will mark his return to a genre that he helped popularize.
Check out 19 new Supreme Commander screens (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=28789) over at WorthPlaying.

GrinR -- those screens look like Total Annilhilation with fantastic graphics and some new units. I had no idea this would so closely follow the look of the original. I had high expectations from the beginning, but this looks like the perfect RTS to me.

These remind me of Herzog Zwei. Granted I never played TA so they just might be similar.

Oh, I know it looks like TA - I'm just on my MFing knees praying to cyberjesus that it PLAYs like TA.
How many "updates" to great games must I suffer through before someone realizes it was great -in the first place- and doesn't need gameplay "improvements"!?!?

Man, I am definitely getting this game. I used to live and die for Total Annihilation. I got everybody in my old office playing Total Annihilation. I'd stay up so late playing, that the sun would be rising and I'd say to myself, "Well, no sense in going to bed now." (And then drag myself into the office.)
If Chris Taylor can recapture the fun and gameplay of Total Annihilation, words can't describe my feelings at the moment.
