PAX 2008 PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSING THURSDAY

Further Content Details Revealed to Tempt Procrastinating Gamers

SEATTLE - July 28, 2008 - The organizers of the fifth annual Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) today issued a reminder that July 31 is the last chance to pre-register for the gaming festival at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center in Seattle Aug. 29-31. Based on current pre-registration numbers, attendance is expected to break 45,000, guaranteeing a packed house for this year's PAX.

The keynote speaker for 2008, respected screenwriter and developer Ken Levine, will kick off the festivities, including gamer-themed music concerts, an Exhibition Hall crammed full with over 70 companies, console and PC tournaments, the Omegathon competition and a wide variety of industry panels. Significant panels and presentations will include:

- History of Harmonix: THE ROCKENING
- How to Make the World Notice Your Video Game Blog
- The Mega64 'Panel! At The Expo'
- The Power of Gaming Communities
- GamerDad's "Gaming With Children"

"We're definitely running into space issues this year" said Show Director Robert Khoo. "Despite adding another building for tabletop and an additional 120,000 square feet overall, our numbers right now say it's going to be pretty insane."

And there will be much violence at the breakfast table at PAX, as the wafflists and pancake PANSIES fight, with the cowardly crepes sitting, waiting to attack. All the while, the three sides ignoring the glorious sausages and bacon sitting on the edges of their plates.

There will be no sausage or bacon sitting on or near my plate of french toast.

There's always a table somewhere, at some restaurant. Also, there's the donut shop I linked to in the official thread.

If you have time to go to a restaurant in the morning, you're doing it wrong.

I would explain the natural superiority of french toast, but a wafflista such as yourself could never understand the provenance of such magnificence. My faction may surrender at the drop of a hat but we are masters of arrogant snobbery.

Belgium is a better country than France, they've also got really good beer. Arrogance also breeds craptacular food.

I'm torn. Either agree about Belgium and let the bad food comment slide or say that I like French food.

Pomme frites, the real freedom fries. Arrogant French also stole that name from you guys.

And the craptacular food is referring to the French, not Belgians.

See, I like French food. Also, they didn't steal anything, they can have their french fries if it still means that I can go have my "frieten" at the local "frituur" every Sunday (except last sunday, fuckers were closed).

Tell them about the BBQ you went to last weekend... No BBQ anywhere! And they served wine! As a Texan, I cried a little for ya'll. It must have been even worse for you because you have gotten to taste REAL Texas BBQ. I'm sure it was fun and all but the food is what makes it. :)

I'd much rather forget about the food experience there, even though their ribs weren't that bad. The wine was pretty good and as a whole it wasn't bad. The chocolate bavarois was good too.
