I'll have to make a STRONG effort to get up in time to download and play and then get to work by 8am. Totally doable, I just don't yet know if I'll want to do it.

I imagine so. That's where I played it last year.

Damn, I don't think I've bought a XBLA game since Rez, and now I'm going to have to throw down for at least 4 out of those 5.

I'm definitely gonna pick up Bionic Commando and Castle Crashers, and theres a very good chance Ill get Braid as well, depending how I like the demo.
As for the other two, Geometry wars never really interested me the first time around, so that'll be a miss for me, and Ill try Galaga but I have no expectations of wanting to buy it after I do. Still, I had that exact thought about Pacman CE and I ended up buying and subsequently loving it after the demo.

Heh, I came here to post pretty much the same thing, but it looks like I was beat TWICE.
Hopefully CC lives up to the massive hype it's been getting around here.

Probably because everyone and their dog wants it badly. So their driving up the hype for as long as they can.

I love contests where they pretty much give away what you already have or what you need to play in the contest. (A 360 and Live subscriptions? Haha.)
Points are nice though.

I MAY end up picking up all 5. Maybe. I'll have my Xbox back probably the middle of the month. In time for the Castle Crasher madness.

Good news for PS3 owners that are chomping at the bit for Geometry Wars 2 (all...3 of you).
Check out Bizarre Creations games manager Craig Howard's answer to 1UP's query about Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 coming to PSN: "Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 is currently an Xbox 360 exclusive title, although PSN is definitely in our company plans going forward." (And he nails it!) No, we don't know what his comment means either. But we think our PS3-owning friends would be completely justified if they had a little extra spring in their step today.
Ah, yes, Activision-Blizzard: sharing the wealth...to make more coin. Actually, this could mean a bunch of different games outside of GW2, but I had to take a dig at a twin stick shooter today. ;)

Dude...I feel ya. I'm really looking foward to V8 and the confirmed XBLA Duke Nukem 3D. And the often rumored Doom 2. Still...this list of games is GREAT. I think putting all these games into a marketing pitch like this will work wonders for all of them...especially Castle Crashers, being the last game. Hype will build all the way up to the end for CC and more people will probably buy it than were planning to.
Afterall, usually they just give us a few days notice for an XBLA game. With this, they get the word out early.

4 out of 5 for sure, won't even bother with demos. Braid, I'll need to try the demo.
Actually I take that back. I need to see which controller better fits Bionic Commando. I may get that on PSN if the PS3 pad is better.

Looks like it's time to pick up some points...makes me sad that Castle Crashers is last, but I knew they were going to do that. They've been holding off on these releases so they can spoon shovelware down our throats while we anticipate the good stuff.

As said above, none of this tripe is Talisman, which as people are lovely to point out, was to be released, oh, a year ago, but did not, and the one comment we heard officially about it was, you'll see it in the spring.
So this not done yet/end of year/inside info thing, amuses me.

Wow, this is the furthest in advance I have known of a XBLA game.
Almost all of them are maybe purchases depending on how I like the demos.
GeoWars 2 and Galagla legions are probably the least cared about games for me. Braid is supposed to be good shit, Bionic Commando may rock my socks and Castle Crashes is a must buy UNLESS the game controls like Alien Homnid, which felt kind of sloppy.

Bionic and Castle are very likely buys for me. The rest I'll demo and see. Too bad Castle Crashers is last though. It would have been easier to get some easy 4 player co-op while there is still summer vacation going on.

Yeah, they opted to blow their load instead of spacing out the good titles, which will backfire on a customer like me. I like to buy a new XBLA title every couple of months (if there's a good one), and as much as I want all these games, I won't be dropping $10 every week. I will be getting Braid on day one, but the others, probably not.
Although I will be playing the demos for a shot at 100k points!

The only one I don't care for really is Braid. The rest will be mine.Heh. I'm the opposite. The only one I'm really excited for (aside from Castle Crashers, of course) is Braid. Sure, I'll likely snag GeoWars2 but Braid looks like something completely new and crazy. I get a bit of a PJ: Eden vibe from it for some reason.

You're actually complaining that releasing a lot of good games at once is a bad idea? Do have hate having choices? If you buy one game in the next month do the other games magically disappear for you so that you can't pick another one up a few months later?
