Midway sends along word that their non-NFL Football title, Blitz: The League (http://www.blitzleague.com/), has Gone Gold for the Playstation 2 and Xbox and will be on store shelves on October 17th.

Blitz: The League Goes Gold for PlayStation 2 and Xbox

Midway Games, Inc. today announced that Blitz: The League has gone gold and will tackle stores nationwide October 17, 2005, for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. As the first story-driven, non-licensed football videogame EVER, Blitz: The League is a hard-hitting and fast-paced football experience that immerses the player in realistic action that takes place both between and outside the lines.

Blitz: The League will feature a powerful story mode that, for the first time ever in a football videogame, explores the lifestyle and drama in professional football. Players will take the helm of a downtrodden football franchise and retool the players and coaching staff in a quest to guide them to the league championship. Additional features include intense multiplayer action with head-to head online play and complete customization of players, teams, stadiums and more.

There was a special on ESPN this week on Outside the Lines about this game. It was pretty interesting, a lot of NFL players are pissed about this game....looks like they shouldn't have agreed to an exclusive deal....no control over this!

I would have bought this if they kept the team from playmakers in it...
Krychyck and Harris and the gang. That was a good show.
I could care less about the NFL having problems. They can't actually think you can care about your image and Money at the same time?
