All 5 Ghost Recon games pack coming to Steam for $39.99. Big Download has the details:

During E3 we managed to miss the fact that Valve's Steam service added a number of new games to its downloadable line-up. The major new additions are all of the PC games in Ubisoft's Ghost Recon series of tactical shooters. Valve has all five games in a special collection pack for $39.99 and until July 22 you can get the pack for the discounted price of $35.99.

Worth it?

Only the first one, IMO. After that (and the expansions) it sucked balls. The sense of tension and quiet...man, that was an eerie game. No game has made me feel like more of a commando type than that one.

After the first one, it went all shitty and shit. Just became another boring shooter.

As all other Ubisoft titles this is not available outside the US, which sucks.

Yeah, I wouldn't get the entire pack. One is enough.

I enjoyed GRAW (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter) and GRAW 2. Both were competent military squad games IMO.

Never played any other G.R. based games though, but those 2 would be worth it IMpo if you didn't have either prior to this.

Wasn't it on sale for $34.99 over the weekend?

I was tempted to buy it to relive the classic GR days, but decided I had far too much to play as it is. One of my first weekends of not falling for a Steam deal ;)

I bought the package, but i will agree this franchise is lame...

It's pretty much Counterstrike only with wallhacks on 100% of the time...

Like others said, the first Ghost with the Island Thunder and Desert Siege x-packs was great tactical action for its time. A bit long in the tooth now though.

The games mentioned above were a great playthrough. Once I finished everything I did hundreds and hundreds of firefights against the CPU. Complete tactical, loved every second of them. I almost want to install them again.

Decent deal, but not my type of shooter, too tactical for my tastes.

After I read that Ubisoft are boycotting EU on Steam, I decided to boycott Ubisoft, so fuck them and their games. There are plenty of other good games out there, and if Ubisoft have a must-have title - since they don't want me to pay for it on Steam, I'll fucking just pirate it. Yes, I said it. I will pirate the fucking thing. Bloody fagballs who don't Steam their games in EU.

I recommend this purchase to the entire EvAv community, it's worth the $35 or $40 :D
