Gamecloud has posted an interview (http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=1691) with novelist Greg Rucka, talking about his work on Perfect Dark: Initial Vector, the first in a planned series of novels based on the Rare first person shooter.

This title is available now as an oversize trade paperback. I saw it at Barnes & Noble when I was there tonight. (I picked up Gregory Maguire's Son of a Witch, the sequel to Wicked.)

Wicked is an incredible book. I love the way he writes.

I was kind of torn. I loved the beginning and the end, but I thought it dragged quite a bit in the middle and bogged way down in politics.

He is obviously a talented writer, I would have just streamlined the story a bit in the middle.

On the other hand, it is a super big best seller and was even made into a Broadway play... so lots of people loved it just the way it is. :)

I was obviously interested enough to spend $23.00 on the sequel.

And, I'd just like to add, the Broadway show is absa-friggin-credible.

I was on a trip down there a year and a half ago and saw a few shows. Wicked was above and beyond the best show I've ever been to. Show of any entertainment variety (except perhaps my little brother sitting and eating snow for a solid hour).

I love this idea. I'll probably buy and read this once I get more a backstory from the game once XBox 360 drops.

Queen and Country is a very smart book. I'd like to see Rucka write a game someday.

I picked up Wicked on a whim when it was first published a number of years ago and loved it. What do you think of the sequel so far, Evil?

Wicked is about the Witch of the West from Oz right?

Always wanted to read that book. Hope to get around to it eventually.

I have fond memories of reading Frank L. Baum's Oz books as a kid too. Those were great.
