A sci-fi Action/RPG title with Diablo-inspired gameplay mechanics? And only a 20 dollar price tag? It's been awhile since I bought a new PC game, this sounds like it might be fun.

Is there a review for it anywhere?

screens look underwhelming, I suggest trying Fate, another $20 dungeon crawl.

Finally! Wait, huh?

Hmm...I guess I'll give the free trial a shot. I'm almost always willing to give a demo of a game a shot if only to see if there's anything remotely interesting about it.

I have put in a request to review this over at WorthPlaying; I'm a sucker for Diablo clones. Its setting reminds me an awful lot of Harbinger though, it too took place on a massive space hulk interstellar craft.

Anyone try this out yet? Screens are underwhelming for this game. Fate is pretty fun, however, the lack of a real skill system and the fact that only melee is the only way to play kills the game after about 40hrs, so it's good for $20

I have yet to play a 3D hack-n-slash that feels as fun as DiabloII. I'll give this one a try, but I'm also wondering what people's impressions of the game are.

Why does everything have to be diablo2? Give me some fallout goddamnit.

Because Diablo 2 outsold Fallout by an insane amount. Its not quality that people copy, its copies sold.

I agree with you, man. I loathe Diablo and anything resembling it. Good games are lost on the majority of people, while games like Big Mutha Truckers sell like semen-flavored lollipops to whores.

Diablo clones are easier to make. I grinded to lvl 15ish in Fate before I said enough is enough.

BTW, you sure like to talk about semen a lot, Kelegacy q:O

We plan to grow in the industry by continuing our strategy of forming strong relationships with independent developers and bringing some of the best interactive software to the North American and worldwide markets.

So it's INDIE day on EA???

I just downloaded Massacre of the Faries. Man it Rocks hard!!! :D

Not everything has to be DiabloII, but it was still a level of fun I don't think anyone has captured since.

It's funny that you compare Diablo with Fallout, because they feel like completely different games to me. Diablo, I would spend hours mindlessly killings and pillaging, where as Fallout, I would spend hours intelligently searching, talking, and plotting.

Besides, Fallout 3 is in the works, and I'd rather have one great Fallout game for every 10 boring Diablo clones.

Hope that Bethesda doesn't screw it up...I saw some old screen shots for Fallout 3 and they look sweet...I haven't heard any news about it other than Bethesda has picked up the ball

In a similar vein, Tell Tale Games (www.telltalegames.com) just released Bone: Out of Boneville for $19 via web download. This might be a real treat for fans of the comic book, although the demo didn't really entice me.

Tell Tale Games also announced that they will be doing the next Sam and Max adventure. It's nice to dream, but I'll believe that when I see it actually on store shelves.

I can't imagine Bethesda screwing it up. Maybe they take it in a different direction(just total speculation), but those guys care about the product they release. More than just from a financial standpoint I think.

It's weird, but are those sword and shield on the screenshot? According to the developer, it's a sci-fi RPG but aside from a couple of rusty pipes, I don't see much Sci-Fi.

True, hopefully they will be able to retain the feel of the game in Fallout 1 and 2. In my opinion that was the best part of the game, the immersiveness, despite pixel graphics.

I just got thru the first part (level?) of the demo. There's quite a bit of sci fi actually. The premise is that your colony ship was attacked in deep space, and most of the ship is now controlled by aliens. Resources are scarce, and you must find a way to defeat the aliens and hook up with the remaining colonists survivors.

You start with a laser gun, but that runs out of energy pretty quick. You have to use an energy club and scavenge armour to have a chance of defeating the aliens. The vibe is a bit like Gama World meets Homeworld.

I'm not a fan of Diablo style games, but it was kinda neat.

I'm in Australia. I can't download the demo. :(

"Outside the territory authorised for distribution." Crazy. I'll have to keep looking.
