Via Major Nelson (http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/07/09/how-you-can-catch-the-e3-briefings-live.aspx)

I just got off the phone with Adam Sessler over at G4 (check here to see if G4 is available in your area.) who filled me in on G4’s plans for E3 next week. If you’re not headed to LA but you still want to get in on all the gaming action, don’t worry…it sounds like they have you covered. They’ve posted a schedule of coverage on their site, and the great news is that they’ll be carrying the complete Microsoft Press Briefing on Monday (They’ll also be carrying the Sony and Nintendo events as well) without commercial interruptions. I guess the learned their lesson from last year. According to that schedule, it looks like they’ll have a stream available on G4tv.com as well. So set your DVR’s and get ready for some gaming news.

P.S. I’ll also be recording our show and live blogging it from backstage, but more on that later this week.

Maybe they listened this week's EAR (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56910).

Seeing them live on TV will be so much better than low res and/or unreliable web streams.

And now seeing them live on TV with no commercials is even better! To bad I'll be at work (and don't have anything with DVR, I don't watch tv enough).

Good news. Last year really pissed me off.

I'll be DVRing them. What I usually do during the press conference season is avoid all game news until I can download them in their entirety later in the day. Now, I'll be able to watch them as soon as I get home... although I'll have to stay off of EA on Tuesday.

Aw, why not join in on the dual coverage we'll be having here at EA? Nick and Scott will be doing the live blog from the event and I'll be leading a thread somewhere in the forums. Join in on the fun!

Just so bap knows; I didn't post this as news with my signature in the post....it was moved over. I edited out though.

Careful G4, you're nearing "getting it" territory... Keep this up and I may actually apply for a job there.

My exact thoughts. Though for my 2 cents, I like Adam S. I enjoyed him back when it was "Extended Play". I stopped watching after the X-Play format shift and the introduction of Morgan.

You never know, but this was decided months ago in direct response to the unfortunate botch last time--they wanted to ensure they didn't make such an error again.

It's nice that they learned their lesson.

Have you watched it at all since January? It is now an actual gaming news show with the odd review thrown in. I don't care for all of the segments and right now I haven't been watching it as religiously since it's basically all previews and hypetrain stuff and I'm trying to avoid that stuff and actually play some games. That said, the switch to an actual, professional-ish format and abandonment of most of the puerile humour and lame skits is a welcome one. It's still no Reviews On The Run though :) If only G4TechTV up here would start airing Electric Playground episodes that weren't a year old. I like that show but I'm sick of seeing stories about hot new games like Assassin's Creed (coming soon!)

Sorry for the double post...

I like Adam S. and even Morgan is growing on me (she's a lot less strange now, though my wife hates her). But dear lord, Sessler. Do something about that nervous stutter whenever you do a live interview. It's like watching that 'debate' between him and Jack Thompson whenever he opens his yap with a developer.

Gotta get a shameless plug in there somehow.

Can we get a transcript of exactly what they were saying before they cut to the commercial during the Halo 3 trailer?

So, when did we start caring about E3 again?

I'd be happier if I still watched G4, but it's good to know that those watching won't miss anything important because Mountain Dew is so damned extreme.

E3 is somewhat back to what it used to be. Last year was an aberration with the Hanger in Santa Monica and all that. Granted, it is still toned down in the number of companies participating, but they also aren't spread out in hotel rooms at various locations like they were last year.

It's pretty bad when they have to promise to provide coverage with a basic level of competency.

I always hate E3 season. It turns into an endless barrage of hype that I try to avoid like the plague yet EVERY year I get sucked in once the press conferences start.
