Blizzard sends along a couple of news items, including news of a update to a World of Warcraft game area and the announcement of World of Warcraft: The Board Game.

Silithus Revamp

Since the beginning of recorded history, Azeroth has seen the most terrible conflicts imaginable. The War of the Ancients and the Sundering of the World. The coming of the Tides of Darkness. The return of the Burning Legion, the Scourge of Lordaeron and the rise of the Lich King. Yet all this time, deep beneath the shifting sands of Silithus, an unspeakable horror has been lying in wait, ever patient, and ever enduring...

To learn more about the changes coming to Silithus, take a moment to read the Introduction to Silithus and check out the new Silithus map.

World of Warcraft: the Board Game has over 135 gorgeous plastic models and other components to bring Azeroth to life in a way never before seen. Play as one of 16 different characters drawn from all classes and races, and progress to the apex of power in a single evening's play.

Awesome. Silithus is easily one of the coolest looking zones, and I've been itching for a reason to go there.

I'm particurally happy with the 1.8 changes to Druids that are coming. Very cool stuff, definetly gonna change the way druids are played.

Yeah, druids got fucking buffed. The few druids in my guild are flipping out.

Except for the ... MOONKIN mode. I mean I love the buffs bigtime, but the end of the feral tree, the BIG BONUS is being... a MOONKIN? LOL!

That's like getting lvl 60 and having your model turn into a Trogg.

Rock. More to look forward to upon my eventual triumphant return to WoW.

The Druids are getting sprinkled with Godstuff in the next patch. I do not begrudge them it - but I am SUPER pissed about the weapon speed changes.

Edit: When my girl and I play together - we have a few slogans. One of them is "Bugs." Most hated of all enemies.

Silithus, in its current state, is pure hell.

They're advertising another faction grind.

They're off their damn rockers.

Hey, at least the board game won't lag out on you.

They should be able to turn into Troggs. Wild thing FTW!

Not what you meant, huh?

I'm still waiting to see what they do to the paladin class in the 1.9 revamp. That should be interesting.

Ditto. And a big part of the reason I left is lack of solo content at the higher levels. I can't say this enough, I do not like raids or grouping. I don't consider it a difficult thing to make a zone for people like me to solo in. Hell, I even understand I won't get EXP as fast or earn more rare equipment. That's fine. But I do need somewhere to go.

So needless to say, a Silithus's revamp is exciting to hear. It'll be good when I go back to the game (once their first expansion pack is released).

I don't mind grouping or raiding once in a while, but soloing is my primary choice for entertainment, and once you get to 60 there's approximately extremely little solo content. So yes, this should be cool.

And the expansion is when I'm planning my comeback too. Heh.
