Activision sends along a Press Release announcing that they have teamed up with the Military Channel to bring real life WWII content to the upcoming PC and console titles, Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.
In a move that will add even greater authenticity to the best-selling Call of Duty brand, Activision, Inc. announced today that it has signed a deal with the Military Channel to produce a series of historical vignettes that will be featured in the company’s upcoming World War II-themed games Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. As a part of the agreement, the Military Channel will also air a half-hour special on The Big Red One, America’s most decorated fighting unit, and the making of the highly anticipated first-person-action game, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. ”The Big Red One: Behind the Game” will premiere November 1 at 9:00 pm/EST on the Military Channel.
Call of Duty 2 is scheduled for release this fall for Windows PC and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft; Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is also slated for release this fall for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCube™. Both games are currently rated “T” for “Teen” by the ESRB.
