Not having the burden of a NFL license, Midway sends along their most recent Blitz: The League update, with word of the 2005 Season Preview (http://www.blitzleague.com/full_article7.html), Bruno Battaglia - the Bad Boy of the League (http://www.blitzleague.com/full_article6.html), and the 2006 Blitz Cheerleaders Calendar (http://www.blitzleague.com/cheerleader_glam.html).

1955
Chicago Marauder's legendary halfback Eric Jorgenson collapses during a game against the Baltimore Bearcats. Two days later at the hospital he is diagnosed with a rare heart disorder. He dies six days later. Following his last wish, Marauder Stadium's gridiron is turned into a temporary lake and 110,000 watch as Jorgenson is given a symbolic Viking funeral. The funeral is broadcast nationally, sparking further interest in football across America.

Ok, this seems to be cool. It's a football game with a backstory, nice. Hopefully the game will be as cool as the snipets on the site.

I've dug the idea since i first heard about it. Being a HUGE fan of Playmakers..I can't wait to play this game.

Everything I see about this game reminds me of Any Given Sunday and Playmakers- which in my opinion is a good thing. I just hope that it plays like Blitz with a backstory. If Midway manages to pull this off, it might just be the first football game I buy since Blitz on the 64. Shit those were some good times playing multiplayer on that game.

I hope this works into a glorious franchise. I hope it hurts Madden even a tiny bit. I'm pulling for Midway, as usual.

fucking sold.
This is console only I'm assuming?
Looks like Midway is doing well bringing to life their own fictional league with the absence of the NFL license.

That website really peaked my interest into this game. I like the backstory they are providing. I hope they do very well.

I'd buy ChemiAde. Maybe the company that makes Monster and Rock Star will make some sort of tie in.
