We hear today, via Steam (http://steampowered.com/v/index.php) itself, that two games from Gamecock Media's catalog have just joined Steam's ever growing list of titles.

Insecticide Part 1
Enter the fast shooting world of INSECTICIDE as hot shot rookie Detective Chrys Liszt and help solve a crime of epic proportions. Lead your team on a bug hunt, collecting clues and solving puzzles. Use old-fashioned street smarts, unique insect abilities and an arsenal of ingenious bug weapons to confront your suspects. Explore a futuristic world of mutant insects and uncover the truth in a city infested with corruption.

It won’t be easy solving this mystery, but some buggy’s got to do it!

Stronghold Crusader Extreme
Stronghold Crusader Extreme takes the addictive Crusader gameplay to a new level. Featuring massive battles, new outposts and tactical powers to master, Extreme carries on from where Crusader left off. The all-new Extreme trail will provide a stiff challenge to any hardened Crusader player. For those new to Crusader, the original game has been provided too, in an updated form and with all the previously released limited edition content, such as the second Crusader trail (Warchest) with all new 8 AI opponents.

The player's challenge is to build and defend medieval desert fortresses and lay siege to fearless enemies. As European nobles or Arabian warriors, players must conquer the harsh terrain in the legendary Crusades of the 11th and 12th centuries.

Stronghold Crusader Extreme features new tactical powers used to defend against waves of enemies, battles featuring over 10,000 units, a heavy duty 20 mission trail, 30 new stand alone maps, and 8 new AI opponents. Stronghold Crusader Extreme provides huge armies and huge battles, and will test the nerves of even the most hardened Crusader expert!

I have to wonder what they mean by Insecticide Part 1. Was the DS version titled this way?

From what I understand (I reviewed the DS version on the other site I write for) the PC version is totally different from the DS one and is an episodic game.

I've been looking forward to Insecticide for some reason. I'll give it a try.

I didn't even know there WAS a PC version of insecticide.

I'm intrigued, but not enough to bite without hearing *something* about it.

I'm not sure what kind of game the PC version is, but the DS version is an action/adventure game. At points you used the stylus to find stuff on the screen. The game itself was okay at best. I am going to guess the PC version is more adventure than anything.

Ya I just went to steam and from the pics it looks like an adventure/shooter hybrid game. Gonna probably check it out.

Stronghold: Extreme is actually pretty good. I liked the demo. Hard as hell, though.

I changed the title, I don't want Evil Avatar to get Kotaku-like and look like a rag ;)

Thank you! I was about to change it, but first I had to close Firefox, then reopen it to make sure my homepage hadn't been hijacked.

Ahh, I liked my title 8-(. Why do anything at all if you can't make someone feel uncomfortable by doing it? I expected this to happen, though, so not a big deal at all.

You think it made you cringe? Imagine the face I pulled when I misread "On" as "Owns". :D

Sweet, more games on Steam! I fucking love this service, and I've never spent this much money on games before. Many old classics that I never got to finish (Hitman series, SiN, Max Payne 2, The Longest Journey), as well as many new ones!

Now if only more publishers would at least put their back-catalogue on Steam (and make cool collection-packs)...

Since appearantly no one played Insecticide I decided to take a quick look and it's pretty neat so far. You can tell easily that it's not a super professional game (for example I died after getting stuck between a computer monitor and a desk lamp :> ) but the style is well done and uncomplicated straight forward.

The splash screen says "Part 1 of 2"

Okay?

Insecticide on DS sucked all sorts of ball sacks.
