Looks like the "new" Ninja Gaiden Black is a big hit with Gamespot. Their review (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/ninjagaidenblack/review.html) is now online.
Remarkably enough, the best just got better with Ninja Gaiden Black, an updated version of last year's absolutely amazing Xbox action game. Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox didn't leave a lot of room for improvement, thanks to its astonishingly good presentation and fantastic action, which combined the depth and precision of a great fighting game with the settings and situations of a first-rate action adventure game. But this new installment seems bent on achieving nothing less than perfection by using last year's game as a starting point and fine-tuning its few issues, while also adding lots of new options and content, such as a lengthy series of stand-alone missions that emphasize the game's unbelievably intense, brutal, lighting-fast combat.
Damn.. I played this to death... looks like I will have to start to learn all the moves again! ;(

I tried playing the demo of this game, before the original came out. And it completely kicked my ass :( . I am probably going to buy this though, since I don't own th original.

Looks like ninja dog mode is the mode for me!

Nice 1. I'll be picking this up even though i've played through this on normal and hard.I've got to the last enemy on HP2 also. That is very hard. In fact i may have to finish that one eyed bitch off soon :D

I'm just crazy about Ninja Gaiden. I would recommend this game because yes it is hard but also very rewarding :)

I just beat the original it took me a long time, a long LONG time, but I did it, then I cried like a little baby because I was so proud of myself.

Lol Iron Weasel. I know what you mean. It's good to play a game where your thinking 'awww fuck no i'm not gonna die!Eat my Lvl 3 Dialabro sword!'. It's a fine line between genuinly difficult and impossible.

The combat is just so much fun :D

For me Ninja Gaiden is a system seller. If it came out on PS3 and not 360 i'd be gutted but hell i'd buy one for it.

Same NG2 would be a PS3 seller for me. I'd be mumbling obsenities while i forked out the $700 (Canadian) for it, but it would SOOOOO be worth it. And while it sounds like hate the PS3, i dont but i certainly will not be buying one at launch, due to the fact that it will be like 700 dollars.

For me personally the challange is part of what got me completely and utterley addicted to the game, I broke 2 controllers and kept comming back for more, it was like I HATE THIS STUPID FUCKING GAME, go away for a half hour the entire time thinking about it and then I'd say to myself, been playing games for 7 years, I can beat this fucker, and then go back at it, and then when I beat the hard part I just felt so fucking good, like when you get a really good grade on a project you worked long and hard on. Well thats just how i felt.
