Some interesting stuff coming up. I'm very much interested in “Borderlands” . Will probably buy DMC4 through steam if available. Mafia II i'm also interested in since the first was gutwrenchingly slow. And i will def be buying Project Orgin and Ghostbusters.

Speaking of Games for Windows Live. Are their any new GFWL games coming out? I haven't hated the Halo 2 and Shadowrun experiences (granted I got both for about $10/each), and I'm thinking of getting that petroglyph game for PC also. The only issue is that they really need to build Live into Windows or Messenger. It would be perfect as a Microsoft Widget or something.

· “Project Origin” (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)

I didnt know that the prequel (it is a prequel right?) to FEAR is being published by WB? hell I didnt know WB published games (actually I seem to remember something about that, but cant remember details now).

GFW = great
GFWL = why bother?

No it's not a prequel. It takes place after F.E.A.R. but doesn't recognize the events in Extraction Point or Perseus Mandate.

As someone said, it is a sequel to F.E.A.R. Monolith owns everything related to the IP (characters as well) except for the name F.E.A.R.

It's a little sad that more publishers/devs haven't been adding achievments to their PC games since the whole Games For Windows Live thing started. There's only a handful of PC of games that have them still, and most are 360 ports anyway.

I love both those games too...again, didn't pay much for them, but I love the integration and seeing what my "friends" are playing while I am playing on the PC.

I hope the PC users enjoy playing this piece of detritus:

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa™ Video Game” (Activision)

in ultra hi-res, with 24x anti-aliasing, and with a mouse.

Suffer the craptastic world of bad move licensed games that console gamers have to wade through all the time! ;)

Funny, I also got them for $10 each and enjoyed the PC ports. The PC versions of Universe at War, Kane & Lynch, Gears of War and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition all support Live as well. I don't know if there are any other coming out though.

For those of use who already have Live accounts with our 360, GFWL is a good value but I can understand why others wouldn't be interested.

Those "16" games are not being show Bap, those are new "Games for Windows" titles, but they are not at the press event.

There are only 8 titles on display:

Bionic Commando
Call of Duty: World at War
Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization
Devil May Cry 4
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Kung Fu Panda
Space Siege
WALL·E

I'm working on that title.

You can complain about the movie tie-ins aimed at the hardcore gamers, but this one you have no reason to complain about. What do you think the Madagascar movie target audience is? You are not the target audience for a Madagascar game, are you?

You can look up our work on the original Madagascar game (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages4/925755.asp), which each and every review says the same thing: "It's easy, it's a lot of fun to play, has good characters and a lot of variety. Your kids will love it. It's REALLY GOOD for a licensed movie title - but since it IS a licensed movie title, we can't give it an 8 or a 9, so here's your 7."

As for 'wading through,' I didn't realize that people forced you to buy and play those games. That must be a recent change, so I'll look forward to getting your money this time around.

You forgot to add "You insensitive clod!"

But I agree with you...I dislike people complaining about games that aren't marketed to them. It's like going into Baby's R Us and complaining about lack of difficulty on mobiles.

I didn't know Borderlands was also being developed for the PC, that's great news! Any word on a release date? I figured it wasn't going to make it this year.

Anyone notice that despite Microsoft's claims of PC gaming support, the only game on that list belonging to their dev. studio is Zoo fucking Tycoon?

Fuck them.

Zoo Tycoon? Hasn't that game been out for several years? I wonder what took them so long.

I count 3 PC exclusive games there.

The rest are ports of 360 games.

Zoo Tycoon, Crysis:Warhead, Dawn of War 2.

Every other game will be on 360, and probably first.

I played the original Madagascar game, and found it to be an atrocious piece of crap. First of all, there where no guns. I like guns in my games. Secondly, there where no zombies. What the fuck!? How can I shoot zombies with guns when there are no zombies (and no guns)!? And thirdly, none of the plants where healing herbs! WTF!?

I think he said "Zoo fucking Tycoon", which could be a completely different game. ;)

Personally though, I'll be playing a number of these on my 360. It was cheaper than a video card at the time, and will still play the great games. It's unchained me from my desktop for gaming.

Why would you want to play a Halo 3 port?

Mouse&keyboard
Higher resolutions, more eyecandy
Custom maps(beyond what you can Forge)
Dedicated server(potential option)
Higher FPS
Lower ping

Those are things that could make a PC port of Halo 3 worth playing. I'm not saying a PC port would automatically feature all of those. After all, it would depend on how much effort went into the PC version... and Halo's track record there is less than stellar.

Where's Halo 3?

Fuck you Microsoft.

They need to wait another 2 years, then make it Windows 7 exclusive, then let people bitch that PC gamers are elitist when it doesn't sell well.
