Call of Duty 2 lets players experience four individual soldier stories as they overcome insurmountable odds in multiple campaigns. Players have the freedom to follow each of the four storylines through for the ultimate character-driven experience, or they can engage in the historic battles chronologically for quick hitting action.
Grab the new Call of Duty 2 trailer (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=28360) (250mb) over at WorthPlaying.

Yes, Call of Duty is cool and fun. But seriously, I find myself physically unable to get excited about any WW2 FPS anymore. With the exception of DoD: Source.

Feel the character development as you blast a Nazi's spinal column into neuron-rich wall paper!

250MB video?! I sure hope it's not impressive looking, because otherwise it'll end up sitting around on my hard drive taking up space.

This is how I feel now as well. I love WWII games, but I'm just burnt out.

I think the 1st Call Of Duty is the Pinnacle of WWII shooters, although BiA sure gave it a run for its money, infact i think they are about equal, but anyway i have no doubt the sequel will exceed the quality of the original. Well it better after the quote i read in a magazine from the lead designer.

This is why i love the Ghost Recon games. They've moved on explored a fictional future. Modern and future weapons over classic stuff from your everyday ww2 fps.

Well, the file said the resolution was, like, 1280x720 or something, didn't it? That's HUGE for a trailer. They usually take up about 4 inches on my screen.

They should have the option to download trailers as 720x480 ISOs, ready to burn on an inexpensive DVD. Then you can watch them on the TV instead of on the PC.

Interesting.
So, you're from Taylorsville, huh? I just graduated from BYU.

Does this look exactly like CoD one to anyone else? I'm not seeing anything new.
Defeat the amazingly stupid German Army - on your own! Again!
Blast your way through waves of amazingly dumb enemy soldiers, as your own sit back, and even occasionally fire!
I think I've defeated enough entire armies in my lifetime.

Yeah, I mostly have to agree with you. I have been really excited about this game because I thought the original was great, but there was not one thing about this video that impressed me. Graphics and gameplay looked like nothing new or particularly interesting. Makes me sad, but hopefully this video is just not a very good example of what the game's about.
(Or perhaps I should say, hopefully the game sucks and I won't have to worry about spending money on it. :))

I've been noticing this more and more lately. It seems like every video coming out of pretty much every game is met with a big "meh". Anyone else notice this, or is it just me?

Yes...the first CoD was a terrible game...*rolls eyes*
I wouldn't say that every game I've seen has left me with a "meh" feeling, but a lot of the "Next Gen" games have. I think the problem right now is it feels like there is so much focus on fancier graphics that the gameplay gets left behind. Maybe after actually playing some of these games I'll be more intersted.

Yes, the first cod was a terrible game. insidipid, unoriginal, bland, nothing new, and worse gameplay than other previous games which, despite also being unoriginal, at least had polished gameplay.

I finally saw the trailer and I thought this was good. Next gen type stuff, aside from that one allied guy running around like oddly built puppet. My only issue is, when will we be done with WW2.
Where is a Civil War game with muscket, inaccurate weapson and 1 minute weapon reload times? Now that's hardcore.

Yeah, that and the fact that most of the next gen games shown don't actually even look all that "next gen". Maybe I'm just jaded or something, but I haven't really seen any game demos or videos lately that have overly impressed me. Nothing that drops my jaw like when I first played Shenmue, for example. That game looked amazing when it came out.

Maybe I'm impressed because i haven't been gaming as long as you guys. I started with C&C back in like...96-97 I think. So it hasn't beed as long for me.
