The first time most of us saw the Wii controller one thought popped into our geeky heads: "Damn, I'd love to see a lightsaber game on that system." We thought that our prayers were answered with the upcoming Wii version of Star Wars: Force Unleashed (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48454), but that apparently is just a taste.
Today Lucasarts announced another Wii-based lightsaber game. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is being developed by Krome Studios, the team behind the Wii, PS2 and PSP versions of Force Unleashed. This Wii exclusive title, based on the upcoming CGI animated Clone Wars animated series, will include destructible environments and force powers. A trailer for the game will debut on GameTrailers TV this Friday night on Spike.
Lucasarts also announced Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance for the DS, a totally co-op focused game where you (or you and a friend) control two Jedi at all times.

I wonder if it'll be anything like the Atari 2600's Jedi Arena...

The nice thing is the style should work really well on the Wii. It has a nice cartoon/anime style and I think it will look really nice on the Wii. If the controls resemble what we saw of Force Unleashed for the Wii, it should be an interesting title. I look forward to hearing and seeing more info on the game.

I think I actually prefer the style of the cartoon show over the upcoming movie, but I can see how this style would work better for this game. I see this game as possibly being a cheap tie in to the movie/series, but it will have a few bright spots.

I always wanted this game so badly. I kept seeing it advertised in comic books at the time, but could never find it at Sears.
Completely agree with Sprigan41 that the style of the show could work VERY well on Wii.

I see they're not wasting anytime getting the Clone Wars marketing bonanza rolling.

I just hope they really nail the controls, cause I think that is the one ting that will make or break this game.

This is quite possibly the only thing that could get me to buy a Wii...Unfortunetly I don't have the space in my room to swing a lightsaber... er, wiimote.

Well - that's good news for me.
I was contemplating getting Force Unleashed (providing it's half - decent, but half decent would do, as I do like me some Star Wars ) on both 360 (for the "next gen" levels/layout/physics) - and Wii (purely for the 2p mode, admittedly I was considering picking it up down the track when it's a tad cheaper).
Now I can just buy 360 Force Unleashed - and rather than wait for the Wii version to hit budget - pick up an exclusive Wii 2P saberswinging fest for full ticket!
Clever peoples.

Had it. Got it at Zares.
It stank.
This could be interesting, but I'll wait for some reviews.

I just hope the graphics don't look like complete shit. I don't understand why the original Xboxs' 480p games look way better and cleaner than the Wii games.

Or why GameCube games looked better than most Wii titles?
Got me man. Star Fox Adventures is still an excellent-looking title on an ancient system and looks so much better than most Wii efforts.
