Episode 111
"Love Is Blooming In My Pants" (http://www.evilavatarradio.com/?p=153)

If that show title doesn’t get you to listen, well then we give up. Oh sure, other titles presented themselves, all spoken by our special guest for this episode of Evil Avatar Radio (http://www.evilavatarradio.com/audio/EAR.Episode111.mp3), David Hayter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hayter). But then he busts out with that line and all of us in the studio looked at each other just knowing. Not only that, but you guys in the chat room picked up on it as well. Glad to see you’re catching on.

Speaking with David was a great thrill. Listen as he talks to us about voice acting, how he got started and what it’s been like, plus his screen writing career where he tells us of his time with the first two X-Men films and he drops plenty of info on his latest work, “Watchmen (http://watchmenmovie.warnerbros.com/)”. Listen also to Rogue Hunter call in and practically wet himself as David says his name as Snake and TrackZero and David share Canadian memories. Not only that, but he throws us an exclusive nugget (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54586) of information.

We pretty much spend the entire first hour talking to David with the second hour spent more on Metal Gear Solid 4 (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41), a mention of (NDA (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52609)), and an interesting little game revealed to us by Straximus - MMORPG Tycoon (http://playthisthing.com/mmorpg-tycoon).

After it’s all said and done, we take time in the after show (http://www.evilavatarradio.com/audio/Extra.Content111.mp3) to come down off the high of speaking with David and continue our talk about MGS4 (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54467) - this time without the restraint of the FCC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_dirty_words#FCC_regulations_regarding_obscen ities_on_broadcast_media).

Site seems to stabilized, the very beginning seems to be cut off from what was originally broadcast, though.

I've thrown up a mirror in case it has more trouble.

These should be hosted on the site itself, at least for subscribers...

I'm downloading it now (less than 500 BYTES a second and going down), it may be ready in time for me to listen to it before the next show! (Yes, I tried the mirror. That was less than 50 BYTES.)

And he owes at least part of his current popularity to Yakov Smirnoff who David was tied to with two of his earliest acting jobs. David also thought he was well on his way to Branson, MO (where Yakov currently does his comedy). Crazy!

You do realize that if you get Nathan Fillion on the show it will be canceled in less than 12 episodes right?

I think you have some connection issues on your end, the mirror is barely running anything cpu or traffic-wise, and I get 500k/s from it, currently.

Hmmm... I don't see what it can be. I am the IT department here, and we don't limit or filter anything, and everything else is speedy.

That rule doesn't apply to guest appearances.

Rouge Hunter? If David actually called him that, it would be friggin' hilarious. ;)

yeah, I'm not Rouge_hunter, which would be totally gay. He did say Rogue_hunter though.

I don't know...it wasn't actually canceled per say but he was one of the last villains in Buffy.

He was on Desperate Housewives this past season. Though that wouldn't be bad if that show got cancelled....

Rogue...my bad. This falls back to the "Tycho" error last week. I type up the show notes in Works or something and it auto corrects. Never noticed. My bad.

RE : The MGS4 flashbacks, not sure if you folks know you can keep mashing the X button to have more of the flashback show. It's usually 4 - 5 still images / art.

There were no MGS4 story spoilers during the show right?

Psykoboy2

Umm, someone else needs to answer that. I didn't feel spoiled, no. But it may depend on how dark you want to go into the game.

There's some minor spoiler, just because he does mention a specific point in the game and how he feels about it, but that's all he says. He doesn't really spoil the story that much. I'm ok with some minor stuff though, you may not be.

Just wanted to drop in to congratulate you on this episode. I've been listening since #14 or so, and this has to be one of my favorites. Great job with the questions and with the show as a whole. Hopefully I can get everyone's autograph and a picture at PAX. :p

I loved the interview as well.....pointed two co-workers who are gamers to it. He seems like a super nice guy. I was telling someone about Mr. Hayter having to purchase his own MGS4 bundle like everyone else and he was skeptical (thought he was saying that to be more accessible...) It seems to me however that a. he'd have no reason to make something like that up and b. if they started comping him a $500 bundle then everyone else will start wanting their free bundle...not practical.
Anyway, great interview....I'd love to meet him some day.
