Hmm, all I can say is just because you can have hundreds of enemies doesn't mean you should.

It certainly looks pretty but since it appears that the vast armies of your enemies have barely the slightest inclination to attack you, I really don't see the challenge.

I think that the siter is having capacity issues now. I'm still waiting for the link's page to upload.

It is too early for me to be disappointed in a 360 game (they aren't even out yet) but all reports are showing this to be a Dynasty Warriors for the 360. That sucks.

Is this posted anywhere else? I'm having no luck trying to download it.

Dynasty Warriors is not something that should be cloned.

This reminds me a lot of the Lord of the Rings games for X-Box. Of course, my brother played them a whole lot more than I did.

This game looks amazing. I really enjoyed Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusades by Phantagram. This is one of the games I'm most looking forward to.

As long as the actual strategy elements are good, I'm not super worried about the melee combat. I mean, really, how fun is the melee combat in KUF? Not that great. The best thing that can be said about it is that it looks cool, and so you enjoy it. I think you can freaking well say that about Ninety Nine Nights.

So, we've seen some bitch swinging a sword around. Now show me the part of the game I care about.

hmm, in 2 minds..

1) looks very pretty (good)
2) Lots of enemies running about with no real slowdown (good)

3) Gameplay looks closer to DW than KUF (baaaaad)
4) Some clipping/running through solid objects (bad)
5) Stupid, stupid AI (bad)

NO!

I fucking hate Dynasty Warriors... I love Kingdom though...

Anyone hear of a sequel to KUF? That would be shit hot.

It`s looking good.

Looks like a bit of a difficulty ramp between chaff and bosses, lol. If the video had been 2 minutes longer, we would've probably seen that lady get completely owned by that boss.

Lots of enemies on screen is cool from a programming point, but it is only cool from a game point if they signify something. For instance, in games like doom or painkiller, you know if that horde of monsters closes with you, you're dead meat. There is a constant battle to kill them at range, and find enough ammo to do so. If you can just waltz through the enemies like a scythe through wheat, the challenge becames one of endurance only. Who likes endurance gaming? I certainly do not.

This game looks like a nifty tech demo at this point, hopefully it will gain significant depth before release.

Just rewatched it.. this time actually reading the onscreen prompts. It looks like this is one of the very early levels. A lot of info comes up on screen telling the player how to perform special attacks and explaining healing items and such. So maybe the lack of tactical depth and meandering enemies can be somewhat justified.

One of the coolest touches is the dead bodies STAY. Really gives more of a sense of battle.

This game looks like it's retarded. Where's the AI? He ran by at least 20 people who just went, "huh?" and kept running. Wow, that's pretty dang tough. And taking on 20-30 guys at once who can't seem to hurt you is a really freakin' tough job.

There are also her OWN forces fighting in that battle, Netcase. That's why some guys just ran right past her.

At least, I think. It's too low-res to really see the alliegence of a single guy.

If it's a trainling level I guess I see the lack of challenge.

Well, I _was_ excited about this until I saw the video. But I hadn't heard of KUF, have to check that one out instead, since it sound smuch more like what I was hoping 99knights would be. Maybe they picked the worst possible video to show and there's still some hope, but personally I thought even DW looked more engaging than this...

Basically I was hoping for something like a first-person/thrid person version of Rome Total War where you had to lead your army into battle.

Hold on..damn the game is still in development..it's not even scheduled to release for several more months. It looks good, and im sure they will tie up everything else.

Just in case you guys didn't know, the people who made Kingdom Under Fire is behind this game too.

This is my problem with the 360 in general. Not a single game that they have shown excites me in the least. Oblivion looks pretty cool, then again it is also multiplatform and after Morrowind's absurd level of bugginess I am pretty wary of buying another Elder Scrolls title.

Stryfe01

so what the hell will excite you about a game. sony sure as hell hasnt shown anything but mgs4 that looks good. and then no gameplay. every gamer seems to think that each console release the fundamentals of gaming will dramatically change. it wont't. graphics will get better, which each console (waiting on N) has shown, worlds will get larger, physics will get more complicated and developers will continue to make excuses as to why they couldn't do something they promised would be in before release.

get over it and enjoy it. 360 games look good. ps3 mock ups look good, nintendo's promise...is...promising.

Well, I didn't say anything on the PS3 has excited me either. :P It hasn't. The only two next gen announcements that have excited me are the Rev's controller and it's massive backwards compatibility.

I'm not against the Xbox 360 for fanboy reasons or something like that. There literally just are no titles shown for me that interest me. Almost every title shown has been a sequel for one thing. Sequels to games that didn't interest me in the first place.

The only hack'n'slash i want is more Kingdom Under Fire! Unless NG is considered a hack'n'slash if thats the case then i say MORE, MORE, MORE, AND ON THE 360!
