During tonight's Legendary Episode (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54567) of EvAv Radio, David "Solid Snake" Hayter revealed he is in talks with Warner Bros to write a movie based on Capcom's Lost Planet. While Hayter is most famous for his role as Solid Snake, his writing credits include X-Men 1 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120903/) and X-Men 2 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290334/).
Be sure to watch the site tomorrow when the full podcast is available to download, there's some pretty awesome surprises - like different places love can bloom!

They already made a Lost Planet movie. Except back then it was known as the first 20 minutes of The Empire Strikes Back. :D

I really enjoyed this game for the most part, great action and visuals. Too bad the actual story was such a confusing mess of anime and game cliches.
It's still a cool setting with a lot of potential, though i hope they leave out the part where the protagonist freezes to death because he misjumped and ran out of thermal energy :D

I hope it's more coherent than the Lost Planet game. I find myself in missions and I don't know why I'm there or what is going on.

I believe in Hayter!
Although I believe he is incorrectly credited... His best work was as The Guyver in the original movie: Awesome!

I could go for that, it'd make a good summer action movie if nothing else.

Empire Strikes Back + Tremors + Starship Troopers = Lost Planet

Actually... Hollywood would buy into colonized planets gone wrong. I'd probably add to the equation....
Pitch Black + Empire Strikes Back + Tremors + Starship Troopers = Lost Planet
Not cause it happens at night, but the overall mood. Also Ice Pirates would be pretty cool.
