View Full Version : Next-gen King of the Fighters game announced...

Gamespot is reporting (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09/16/news_6133474.html) that SNK Playmore's fighting series will be expanding on to the next generation consoles by the name of KOF: Maximum Impact 3. KOF:MI 2, previously announced for the PS2 & the Xbox 360, has now become KOF:MI 3 (X306) and KOF:MI 2 (PS2).

Fighting game fans looking forward to new games on Sony's PlayStation 3 got good news from Tokyo today. According to a press release from Sony Computer Entertainment, seasoned arcade game maker SNK Playmore has signed on as a publisher for the next-generation console. The first game scheduled for development by SNK Playmore is King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 3. No details on the game have been released yet.

Heh so the same exact game will be its own successor? Find me a marketing person I feel the need to strangle someone ;)

Yup, this game has been done an injustice in 3D. Maximum Impact was craptacular on all consoles.

Maximum Impact had a few good things going for it. It has potential, I will wait and see before I make final judgement.

King of Fighters dream match 99 for the dreamcast was the last good kof game...

kof2k was fun at arcades though .
