To install those XMLs you need to copy them to the right folder.

For XP, C:\Documents and Settings\<XP username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Funcom\Conan\Prefs\<AoC account>\Waypoints

Vista is C:\Users\<Vista username>\AppData\Local\Funcom\Conan\<AoC account>\Waypoints (I can't confirm that one)

Don't put them in the game folder, the patcher will just patch over them.

EDIT: Keep in mind they aren't perfect, there's some doubled up and so on, but they're pretty damn useful.
