2 new roleplaying games for the Nintendo DS (http://kamalot.blogspot.com/2005/09/2-new-nintendo-ds-rpgs.html) were shown in this month’s Famitsu Magazine.
Lost Magic is coming from Taito. Not much is shown aside from a clean and refreshing set of concept artwork.
Iron Feather is coming from Konami. This appears to be a party-based, real-time action RPG. The screens show what could possibly be wireless multiplayer at work.

I'm really starting to get into the DS... It's slowly regaining my trust. Could have something to do with being on campus again of course. Much more fun when there are other people around with the device, and it's one of the two things I pack around with me to game (the other being my laptop).

Interesting. I wonder what's going on with FF: Crystal Chronicles? Lots of wi-fi hack 'n slash in our futures?

I have to say, those Lost Magic screenshots are beautiful. Like Patti Lupone in her younger days.

Are either of these actually coming to english audiences? The DS has a lot of RPGs in development but not a lot for those of us who don't understand Japanesse.

Give me standard jRPG, random battle stuff or adventure-RPG like Zelda. Or maybe hacking and slashing is good for the handhelds, I dont know. I personaly dont enjoy them on the consoles or PC, though I'm gonna give Xmen Legends a whirl here shortly.

Maybe it's a typo for Taito? I couldn't find any info on their site about the game, though.

I'll be picking up a DS at the end of the month for Lost in Blue and Lunar. This just makes me feel better...assuming they come over to the US, of course.

Don't bother. Overhyped.
Legends was a boring topdown dungeon crawler w/Xmen in it. Not worth the time...rent it if anything.

Okay, okay, I'll play Radiata Stories instead. You dont need to twist my arm.

I wonder when Square will reveal more info on Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy III.
I'm hoping they remake FFIII from the ground up and give it a story as good as FFVI. What I played of the old fan translation ROM wasn't very impressive.

Then again, I really liked X-Men legends. A fun little romp, great for multiplayer. Iceman is the best. There is a huge number of characters, and they all play like indiviuals. If you are a X-Men fan, I highly recommend it.
