Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=6418) brings word that EA is doing a bit of the Executive Shuffle. Don Mattrick, Electronic Arts veteran of 23 years has decided to leave EA. Effective immediately, Paul Lee will take on the role of president of EA Worldwide Studios; replacing Don Mattrick who after a combined 23 years has left the company. David Gardner will now serve as global Studio Chief Operating Officer, while Gerhard Florin will become Executive Vice President of International Publishing and Frank Gibeau, Executive Vice President of North American Publishing.

Wow. I remember back when Mattrick moved up from EA Canada (which in the EA world is the greatest Game Development Studio in the history of the world - sports games on every platform in every language every year) and was shocked, SHOCKED to discover that us Origin losers sometimes took 2 years to make a game!
I hope he has a long and fruitful retirement.
Oh wait, he will. http://biz.yahoo.com/t/84/755.html

Yes, them retard executives sure are a sorry bunch.
Although they never seem to realize it because of the huge piles of money blocking their view.

How is it even possible to spend that amount of money? Seriously, how could you possible spend $17 million?
$17 million is NOT a lot of money. Maybe in North Carolina, but in California it only buys you a house, a car, a trophy-wife and a couple of dinners/lunches at The Ivy! :D

It's hardly play-piece money now, is it? What's The Ivy?
I met him a couple of times when I worked at EA. He wasn't bad actually. He "got" a lot more than I thought he would in the casual conversations I had with him. We also used his cars to record engine noises for the NFS games, though he insisted on driving. I think this will end up being a big change, though in what direction I can't say.
