Aeon Flux is an action-packed game that features a blend of stealth, speed and acrobatic combat. Based on Peter Chung’s popular MTV animated series, the game bridges the fever-dream essence of the futuristic series with the mass-market appeal of the upcoming feature film starring Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, slated for release in Fall 2005.
In the strange and distant future, a beautiful agent named “Aeon Flux” employs all the lethal abilities at her disposal to disrupt the soul-crushing tyranny that pervades the walled, protected city-state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. Her nemesis is Trevor Goodchild – a sometimes-lover, yet fulltime Chairman of the Breen Council. Aeon faithfully serves the underground ‘Monican’ rebellion in their efforts to overthrow the Breen, however deadly rivals oppose her at every turn, and powerful temptations test her loyalties. Anyone seen the show?
The movie trailer looked chiche and ridiculous so I was wondering whether the show is also.
The game looks to be mediocre. A kind of Bloodrayne in the future.

Oh man, the show is the exact opposite of cliche.

MEh, this sucks, the cartoon was a hundred times cooler and more interesting. Now it is just another mediocre me-too thing.

Hopefully someone will get the rights to make a cartoon version of the game (like with the ultimate spider man game), the relistic rendering in this case looks so dead compared to what a really artistic cell shaded version could look like. Unfortunately, they are convinced people are paying to see Theron (of however you spell her name) on the TV...big mistake.

THeron is a cute lady and all, but her digital likeness is just too vanilla when compared to the amazingly interesting art design in the cartoon. This is one IP that should have never gone to live acting, it belong in the animation realm. The game is just the added insult to the movie's injury.

Thanks. I'll check it out then.
I played the game for a long time at E3. Reviewers will give it 7/10.
Fans of Aeon will love it. Aeon might be from the movies, but the way she is animates and the way the guards look and city look are pulled directly from the cartoon.

If you like Aeon Flux (and who doesn't), check out "Reign". It's a series based on Alexander the Great (not the crap movie), Peter Chung does the character design.
If you are a super Peter Chung nerd, also check out a cartoon series called Phantom 2020.

Now that is reassuring. Screenshots are really useless, these days. They simply cannot communicate anough of the game anymore. :D
