So when I get back home late this summer/ Early fall I want to get back into World of Warcraft Raiding and doing endgame stuff with either of my two Characters. however found out my old raiding guild died and is totaly gone. Which makes me very sad.

Well anyways is there anyone that playes on Gurubashi Server that is in a good raiding guild? I have a Decently geared Druid

Treent (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Gurubashi&n=Treent)

And an enhancement Shaman that I would prefer to have as my main I like my druid and all but I really don't like tanking all that much

Shamton (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Gurubashi&n=Shamton)

I also have a few lower level characters that I dabble arround in.

on a side note when is the new expansion supposed to be arriving. If it comes out this summer it'll be the second time that I will be beind the curve for an expansion.

There's another thread in here inviting people to go raiding with the EvAvers on Vashj. They're up to Kara now, and that would be worthwhile for you, provided you can transfer to a PvP server.

As for WotLK, I believe I heard it would be available around November or so, in time for the Christmas shopping season.

One thing to note on your shaman, you're weapons are way too fast for windfury. Ideally you want 2.6 or slower on each hand. It would be worth it to get slowe weapons even if they're a few dps lower greens. It will improve your overall dps due to how windfury works.

I want to know if there are any raid guilds out there (post magtheradon) that don't do what I like to call "play by spreadsheet".

I understand that it's important to have good gear for your role in raids but once people started telling me exactly which gear/enchants/gems/talents/abilities I would be using if I want to run with them it stopped feeling like a game.

I'm glad I finally got all my tier 4 but of course I lament the fact that I'll never see SSC and above.

I'm in a semi casual guild that almost fits what you are after, but even there someone who has gemmed/enchanted their gear for optimum PvE is given priority in raids over those that haven't. We've managed to get up to Teron in Black Temple and the encounters now are almost impossible unless your entire raid is performing to their best of their classes ability.

You could check out the guild I'm in on Vek'nilash (PvE). We've hit sort of a lull due to people getting busy, but we have progressed pretty well and are currently attempted to finish up SSC and TK. We definitely need some healers if you have them.

We generally raid 2 nights a week. Fairly casual stuff, no mandatory attendence, it's pretty laid back. Though when I say laid back, I don't mean lazy. People are expected to show up prepared, able to pay attention and follow instructions. No required talent specs, though obviously if we are full on tanks, but need healers for a raid, you probably aren't going to get in as feral, haha.

Good group of people, though in general, the guild is G-rated, meaning no swearing/etc in guild chat or Vent, and you will get kicked if you slip up more than rarely.

We just got our first tries on Mother Sharahz in BT last night. While I'm as big a fan of odd-specs as anyone, if I'm not running a standard combat swords spec on my rogue, they may as well not bring me because I won't be able to provide enough dps for us to survive. The reason for standardized raid specs is they are well tested. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. I miss my maces but I know what does more damage.

Yea I read up on shamans on elitest jerks so I plan on getting new weapons when I get back for maximum effect. I was just playing my shaman for fun but I really did enjoy him so I'm planning on switching him to my main which means paying attention to what would be best for him as far as gear/ talents for raiding as enhancement.

With WAR still looming on the horizon, so close, yet so far....I ask whatever god of randomness watching us to help me stay away from WoW.

Topics like yours don't help though! :D
