All good things come to those who wait...

Price drops on both Conker: Live & Reloaded (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=210606) and Forza (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=210623). Dropped from $49.99 to $29.99.

Good, now I can get Conkers at the price it deserves!

Of course, I already bought Forza... would feel a lot better about it @ $29.99 instead of $49.99!

Forza, sounds about right for me and racing games..

Wow, less than 3 months after release, Conker gets a $20 price drop.

And Forza's price drop came 4 months after its release.

Two stinkers, apparently, so dunno about that "good things to those who wait".

What would make you think that? I've got Conker, it is an awesome platformer. A lot of fun and the graphical upgrade is astounding and it has multiplayer now. I'm not sure why it didn't sell better, but it is still a great game.

I haven't played Forza, but I liked what I saw of it.

Yep, price drop always equals "crappy game." Check out Beyond Good and Evil for reference. Halo 2 has also experienced a price drop and hasn't been out very long. That must also be a stinker :P

Of course I know about great games that do bad sales and get price cuts. I know that.

And I still stand by my post.

Where are you getting your information from?

Forza - GameRankings average - 92% (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/920720.asp)

Conker - GameRankings average - 78% (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/914940.asp)

Oh, and in the interessts of fair and balanced reporting:

Gran Turismo 4 - GameRankings average - 88% (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/561066.asp?q=gran%20turismo%204)

I have Forza and it's so far removed from being a stinker it's not even funny.

'Two stinkers', indeed.

Have you even played Forza? It's arguably better than any GT game on the PS2. The customization options are more indepth; the car tuning is amazingly detailed; it has online modes, including the ability to play the entire career mode online; and it has a full car personalization system which allows for huge amounts of creativity.

It's an outstanding racing game. I'm glad to see the price drop so that more people can experience it.

Forza was MUCH better than GT4 in my opinion. At $29.99 I don't see why anyone wouldn't pick this up if they have even a general interest in racing games. Very good game.

Forza is excellent and worth every penny. It has to me, what seems to be a near-endless amount of gameplay. I should pick up conker at that price, it looks quite fun.

I think they didn't sell well because their target market is still playing Halo 2 on xbox live.

So your basis for argument was what exactly? Oh, gotcha, nothing.

Two words for Conker's price: The Camera

As for Beyond Good and Evil, I just didn't find it to be that great of a game. I got bored and stopped playing after some cave sequence.

Don't get me wrong people... Forza is awesome and worth the $49.99 I paid for it. It just would feel even better at $29.99, since I only bought it a month ago! I'm still happy and YES it blows away Gran Turisimo,so there! :p

Anyone that thinks PRICE=GAME QUALITY needs to look at some of the excellent games on-line or in bargain bins and get educated!

I hate to say it but Conker (solo player) gameplay is really crap. And yes, I played the N64 version, too. Whoever came up with the gameplay must have been more drunk than the squirrel.

Single player, Conker wasn't any great shakes, but I enjoyed playing through it just because it looked so good. I never got to play the N64 version and I didn't hold the fact that it was still just a 5 year old game against it.

Multiplayer is great though, providing you get into a decent game away from stat-whoring bastards and team killers.
