Crap. Because it was a national holiday yesterday here in Holland I totally forgot about all the blues you must have had. So, to ease the pain, here it is. Monday Blues - Tuesday edition!
What did you guys play in the weekend?
I played GTA4, only a couple of hours of it, the weather was too great to pass up.

i completed my goal of banging three chicks in one day in GTA4 and then went old school and played some GRAW. that lasted about an hour and then i went back to GTA4.
Using a few different patches I found on the innernets, I played through the bioshock demo on my Windows 2000/Radeon 9800 Pro machine. I've been dying to play the real game, but wanted to know if there was any chance that I could play it on my current machine. The answer: yes you can play it, but it isn't really very enjoyable.

I played a little GTA IV, Dirt and the Grid Demo. I also watched Iron Man. All in all it was a pretty good weekend.

Spent most of the weekend doing the Mother's Day thing for my wife - corraling kids, doing chores, etc. etc. Didn't get in much in the way of gaming time, but Monday my son and I continued our play though of RE: Umbrella Chronicles. Really, the only way to play that game is with a friend. Good times.

Grats Gorvi. I got in precisely 30 mins of Jeanne d'Arc and about 15 mins of lumines...stupid house (p)remodeling is sucking up all my time. Anyone want to help us move this weekend? ;)

Well, late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, I got my Peacebringer in City of Heroes to lvl 50 (the level cap of the game), which makes my second lvl 50. A couple hours later I started a new character, a Force Fields/Psionic Blast Defender, named Password. Cool so far, I've gotten her to lvl 25. The new costume pattern and icon are going to look great on her once the next patch comes out (sometime this month). This is what she'll look like when they implement the patch:

Other than that, nada. I've been totally neglecting FES. I did, however, watch all three Indiana Jones movies, let's see... four times each? They were played repeatedly by USA over the weekend, and I left it on the TV while playing CoH.

'The Darkness' on the 360. Worth the 15$ I paid for it. Shame the game went under the radar for most people, it's a truly immersing FPS.

Started replaying God of War a few weekends ago and got a chance to finish it Saturday night. Started God of War 2 for a replay did the intro level. I've been trying to save money for anything I can PC game on (getting an itching for Oblivion/Mass Effect/The Watcher) but my G5 iMac won't play those games.

I put some time into GTA IV, though not till Sunday for the most part.
I spent most of my time doing Mother's Day stuff with my wife and her extended family and on Sunday we also had the joy of dealing with an (almost) 4 year old with a fever and a tendency to puke in the car, so that was fun.
I also put some time into TWEWY when the Mother's Daying and puking stopped.
And that's about it!

I was sicker than a dog on Friday afternoon. I got in a couple minutes of Peggle, but couldn't even concentrate on that!
Played a little Jade Empire on Sat. morning and then spent the rest of the weekend shopping for a new motorcycle in amongst all of the Mother's Day activities.

GTA IV with a side of GTA IV. I really picked the wrong month to start a GameFly account, I got through one game (Dark Sector...average to meh) and then GTA came out. I'm a little over 50% done, according to the game. And how nice is it that it points out your addiction level to it? I really needed a spotlight shined on that.
Anyone had a chance to play the Cops N' Crooks gametype? Sounds interesting to me, haven't had the chance to get killed in it yet.

Mario Kart Mario Kart and more Mario Kart.
Eh, I also played Medal of Honor: Airborne. :)

I spent most of the weekend watching movies. I finally got around to watching Kurosawa's Sanjuro (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056443/). If you haven't seen Yojimbo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055630/) and Sanjuro (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056443/) I definitely recommend them to anyone who likes good films, martial arts movies or classic cinema.
I did, however, get some Warcraft 3 missions completed. I am down to the last two. I am actually really enjoying the end game more than I thought I would. The Night Elf missions feel a bit more like an RPG and I think it's making the game that much more enjoyable.

A few months back, I had tried the demo on my xp/oc'd radeon 9600/oc'd athlon 2400+/1gb ram
once fallout 3 hits, I'm replacing the comp and getting bioshock

It was mostly a Mother's Day weekend spent with my wife and three kids.
I did spend some time with Niko, Roman, Vlad, & the gang :D.
On Sunday I also just sat around and relaxed by watching my kids take turns racing online against their cousin & aunt in Wii Mario Kart. They showed no mercy!

Viva Pinata and Burnout Paradise are sitting on the shelf for the next three weeks. Damn you RRoD! So I played a little Trauma Center and watched House on DVD. I must say, two very different approaches to biomedicine.

I played my first six hours of GTA4 over the weekend. I've gotta say, the auto centering camera is a pain in the ass. A horrible, horrible pain in the ass. The story started out really slow, but it's starting to pick up and I've gotten used to the camera. I'm definitely enjoying the game, the Jamaican friend cracks me up.
The way the buttons are laid out on the 360 is hold A for run. Well, anyone who played Assassin's Creed for the 360 knows that you hold right trigger to run, right trigger + A to sprint and climb things. There's been a few times where I've just held right trigger and A instinctively...with an uzi equipped. Hilarious and unfortunate for all involved.

I used the extended weekend to finish up GTA IV, including all of the side missions i could find. Needless to say, the game ended with a bang, and a really "out there" chase sequence.
Now that GTA is out of the way, i want to finish up Condemned 2, Lost Odyssey and The Darkness, those are the 3 remaining unfinished business on my xbox.

Tried to play bioshock, but it crashes every time I load my save, think it's a confilct with my geoforce go graphics card - so I re-installed Marvel Ultimate Alliance and played that a bit on Friday, Saturday morning was mostly spent on Audiosurf, after that I was out enjoying the sun cause you never know when you're gonna get more of that around here

I played approx. 15 hours of GTAIV this weekend (a three day weekend this week). It started slow, now I absolutely love that game. I love the characters and the story. They might not be revolutionary or Oscar-worthy, but they interest me more than game characters usually do.
I never cared for GTA before, but GTAIV is different. Previously I've fucked around in the GTAIII, Vice City and San Andreas game worlds for a couple of hours and then get bored because the story never grabbed me. Now I'm already looking forward to some DLC.

I played a surprising amount, considering my gf had friends staying with us for the weekend.
GTAIV (360) - Saturday. Some online and some missions. Honestly not very far through it...stupidly ended up being a nice guy and let my gf's brother borrow it for the week :(
Professor Layton (DS) - Almost done
RB6:Vegas 2 (360) - Absolutely love this game. Some online and some single player...still great fun.
fl0w (PSN) - finally gave this game a chance...nice relaxation before bedtime.
PixelJunk Monsters (PSN) - knocked off another level. Thinking about the expansion pack...anyone have it yet?
R-Type (PSN) - Boy...I suck at this game...wish it would allow the use of the analog sticks...more of a joystick than the d-pad :(
Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - I just can't get into this game...it just isn't doing it for me...do I suck as a gamer? Do I lose some street cred?

Same thing pretty much. Saturday and Sunday were beautiful here in Ottawa and I spent as much time outside as possible. Did get in about 10 or so hours of gaming.

I love it! There must be a few striking similarities; despite the circa 1000 year time difference. Hey, did you find it troublesome that the "grab ledge" and "drop off ledge" functions utilized the same button? Is there anything like this in GTA? I mean, for people that aren't conditioned to AC's controls...?

Dangit...I really wanted to love it...but found the camera to be frustrating and the controls a little too "twitchy"...
Maybe I'll give it a shot again tonight...

With the double header of Mother's Day and my son's Baptism I got in only about an hour of rock band with my brother and his kids. Hopefully my wife will let me make up for being a good boy this weekend with some good gaming next weekend.

Pop for most of the day, and I'll jump into LostWinds and test out Defend Your Castle.
Also, a lil' bit of Gunstar Super Heroes, Guardian Advance Heroes, and Astro Boy. Treasure can do no wrong in my eyes. http://mazeguy.net/happy/cloud9.gif

I played a fair bit of Boom Blox with the kids.
First off, even if Spielberg came to my house with bodyguards brandishing shotguns... er... flashlights, and swore he designed this game, I wouldn't believe him. Maybe he saw the game and threw in a comment or two, but given how poor the production values are, I just don't see him being anything more than a name on the box.
In light of that, the game is still great fun. We had a good time with it, and at one point had everyone in the family chiming in with suggestions on how to win levels. An excellent party gaming experience for all ages.
Ended up playing Age of Conan Beta and I rented Conflict: Denied Ops. My poor copy of GTA4 is sitting there begging me to play.

Glad to hear the Darkness is getting some bargain bin love, that was the most underrated game of 2007.

Trying to play GTA but catching up on my backlog too...Super Mario Galaxy is now outdrawing my GTA attention. I am also going back to The longest Journey on PC (or my very big handheld/laptop). I need to put some time into GTA since I have a few JRPGs coming from Gamefly I need to test out.
