Aggressive Price point from Amazon announced $25.99 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00083HIL8/103-1424369-3747067)

The idog (http://www.idog-segatoys.com/) is a Robotic musical companion. When you play music or "leash" the idog into a headphone jack it will respond by dancing and flashing epileptic seizure inducing LED lights. The idog also serves as a speaker and music composer. It is compatible with most portable music devices such as Discman, iPod, or Rio MP3 players.

"I will rise, love music, touch a lot!"

*cough splutter* come again?
I could make a joke about michael jackson but it's too easy.

Cheap tho, so I suppose the kiddies will lap it up.

i suppose these are ok in that the sales of these will lead to ever more sophisticated robot servants who should eventually be able to fetch my slippers and pipe - around about at the point where i'm of an age to need such things. and for an affordable price.

but DAMN if that isn't stupid!

OOOoooh!!! Another re-gift. I guess enough conscientious folk have moved while owning a salad shooter and just threw it out. Now they need something to give someone they don't like, but don't have a re-gift handy.

$25.99 is not a large price to pay if what you need to say is, "I'm obligated, but I don't like you."

*sigh*

Poor Sega

At least they have new Sonic the Hedgehog coming for the DS and next-gen systems.

Check out this shakeycam video of next-gen Sonic.

Geeze, would someone just create a good-looking affordable sex robot already?

Taking the road less travelled, I think this thing is kind of silly. If I had the money to blow on a useless toy like that, and I mean completely useless, I'd plug the little bastard into a split-headphone jack on my computer and just watch him seizure. Take him to LANs, he'd be my "casemod".

I was wondering if this was a Sega creation when I saw a commercial for it. Reminded me a lot of Poochie.

I like it actually. And I wonder how it would look connected to a DS playing Nintendogs.

My thoughts exactly.
