Bet On Soldier is a first-person shooter which presents something considerably different in order to stand out from the crowd. With a corporation-takes-over-the-world-style plot, Bet On Soldier allows players to do exactly what it promises with its title - that is, bet on the outcome of encounters with specific enemies. Before entering battle, players can wager on which particular enemy soldiers they are going to kill.
As promised Kylotonn Entertainment has released the singleplayer demo, featuring a tutorial mission, Patrol, and a large map Cargo Bay where you have to defeat various exoskeletons and 2 Bet On Soldier encounters. The demo includes 3 character classes and several weapons from the full game.
You can grab the Bet On Soldier demo (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=27927) (550mb) over at WorthPlaying.

I downloaded the e3 movie of this game a while ago, and while it was FMV, it did interest me.
But... is there any actual gameplay movies of the thing out there?

Okay, this demo is trash. All the concept art / fmv movies made this to be an action game with style.
If charging at the enemy holding the fire button and aiming at the head sounds like a good time to you, download this amazing demo!
If you like a little more substance, look elsewhere. Seriously, armor in this game is a joke. As are the demo's weapons. Just charge at the enemy and hold the fire button, I did this at the hardest difficulty. Oh, shielded units? Just charge them while holding the fire button.

And now you got starforce on your setup.
Jesus, starforce is like the stone pillar that fell on the camel, crushed its back, chopped it in half, and proceeded to sink into the ground.
It's like "Straw... Straw... Straw... Stone pillar!" with this game.

So is everyone saying that BOS is a POS?
lol
Seriously though, I had a bit of fun with the demo.
The AI does seem a little weak, and the armor made me feel like He-Man...but there may be some fun to be had.
I liked the stylish graphics that made the game feel like a gameshow, but I wish there was a way to skip the intros (especially since they didn't reveal anything interesting about the new foe).
I guess what I'm saying is that it's a good idea, but the exe. ain't great.
Might be worth a bargin bin purchase.

So, as this appears to be a dead thread, I looked up Starforce and will be providing myself with an answer. Starforce is a certain type of copy protection mechanism placed into some games. It installs drivers on your system which must be running in order for the game to run. These drivers disable certain software programs which may be used to aid piracy (Alcohol120% and CloneCD for example). There have been reports that these drivers severely hinder systems in various ways, but Starforce claims any such issues have been resolved. Apparently Starforce has been fairly effective in keeping games from being cracked, and those cracks that do exist for Starforce games are quite large and cumbersome.
That's what I found out. Perhaps someone will read this post. :)

Looks and plays very much like Iron Storm. I didn't like it very much, a shame, it sounded good. The weapons feel clumsy, and the areas are confusing. I think I was hoping or something more like the Tribes: Vengance demo. Ah well.
