Share your creative masterpieces online and earn money to make better films.

Lionhead Studios and Activision have announced The Movies Online (http://www.lionhead.com/themovies/), a community in which all wannabe directors get to share their work. When the game ships this autumn the site will launch a film festival as well as hosting regular awards and competitions. A prop shop and additional downloads will also be available from the site to help with your movie making.

Any word on if this will still come out on Gamecube. That was the plan at first, I believe (to have it on all consoles + PC). The story says it is, but most stories I've read only say XBox and PC.

SEE at first I thought this was going to be a cool Xbox game, and it might be ok but the more I see about all the stuff the PC is going for I'll rather sit at my desk, import mines, friends or even real actor faces into the game, share online, add voice, test all kinds of stuff. AND in this game, the moddablity is something I can give a rats ass about. You know I wonder if these movies kicked ass could there be a movie time on G4, cause I'd watch that over the other bull they show mostly.

ALERT JACK THOMPSON, somebody has already plans for a "The XXX Movies" mod...

This game is going to be a great game. It is not only unique, but it allows users to have fun creating interesting content and sharing it with others. Add in community based competitions that are held officially by Lionhead and you've got people going out of their way to show off their creative muscle. I have been anticipating this game for such a long time, I can't wait till it is released, gonna buy it on day 1. :)
