I'd just like to remind everyone that Mountain Dew's Xbox 360 giveaway has officially begun. 360's will be given away every 10 minutes from now until launch. Considering how many 360's are being given out, everyone has a good chance of winning.

For some reason I don't think my chances will be that good. Whats sadder is that if I'm picking out a soda to drink I'll probably look for these bottles now. I mean, any chance to save some money is better than none. :o

Is it crashing or what? I don't have any issues with it, but I often block potentially unsafe ads and gimmicks on websites with AdBlocker.

Oh, and I just read about how the contest works... You don't just drop your points in and have that many chances to win. Once you've registered your code, you get a point, then you can select a specific drawing (from a list of the ones that will be happening within the next 48 hours) and you put as many points as you want into that.
So, you really should have a pretty good chance at winning...

Just so everyone knows that if you reach the 500 entry limit and still havn't won, you could have used the soda money for an xbox 360. And you wouldnt have gained all that weight.
Theres less than 9000 xbox's being given away. (My math might be off)
And I also said less than because somewhere in the rules it states that at any given point the contest can be shut down for 48 hours which means 144 xbox's wont be given out for that time period.

Considering how fucking retarded Zeal is, it's hilarious that so many people got into a heated debate over the GBA and simple marketing 101 with a guy, who, judging by his off the cuff mathematical estimate here, is maybe in middle school, high school if he's a complete idiot. Anyone else having trouble using Firefox with this site? I'm noticing FF not working on more and more sites around the internet.I have problems when I have this site in two windows -- say I'm browsing the main page in one window, and open a comments thread in another window. Then FireFox pretty much crashes. This problem seemed to start when the site got that big F.E.A.R. ad on the left side... I've seen FireFox have problems with Flash ads on other sites.

I'm not sure if anyone said this yet, but the contest ends on oct 31st right? Its supposed to be sending you the xbox at least a week before the console launches (according to the rules on the rules page), doesn't this just re-affirm that the console will most likely launch in the first few weeks of november?

Oh, I like the taste of Dew, all right. But then I realized most of the taste comes from the 45 sugar grams and that I could get the same taste by pouring 45 sugar packets into my mouth and drinking a glass of water with a dapper of OJ.
I stopped drinking high calorie sugar drinks a while back. I drink mostly water now. Like a dog.

No matter how the contest works, with 9,000 Xboxs being given away and millions of possible contestants the odds are extremely slim. We *don't* have a good shot of winning, and if you submit enough codes to actually have a good shot, as was posted above, you might as well have saved the money and bought a 360 with the cash. Companies don't do promotions like this because they think it's going to lose them money.
There's only about 60-70 people entered per time slot (10:00, 10:20, etc.) and one being given away every ten minutes, which is also based on the time slot you choose to enter. It's really not a long shot at all.
Worth a try.
Besides, this promotion is just designed to start the 360 hype and no one can argue with a free 360.

Thanks, I fogot about his contest. I hate Pepsi and Mountain Dew. (Mountain Dew sound's like a euphamism for animal piss in the mountain...no?) I like Sierra Mist (which, once again could be taken for urine in the mountains) so I will look for the bottles.

BTW anyone who complains its not a full system is retarded (no offense to any developmentally challenge individuals out there). With the money you save, you could buy the extras $100 Hd, $50 Wireless Controller, $29.99 headset and $29.99 HD cables, you buy an extra game, have two controllers.

So I was at a liquidation store today and I bought a Mountain Dew and Sierra mist 16 oz bottle for 55 cents each. Both were for the 360 giveaway. I drank the Mt. Dew on the way home and I feel like ass right now. I dont know how you guys can drink that syrupy junk. Maybe next time I'll get diet--but they didnt have any.
I also found an empty bottle with a valid point on it in the back of my mother's Explorer. I'm now registered to win a ThreeSixty. Here's hoping I have fitbabits's incredible luck.

I believe yellow # 5 lowers sperm count, explaining why 24 hour gaming fiends drink the stuff to stay awake but inevitably cant have children. Granted, they dont have women in the first place, but still.
Seriously though, that was the myth back in the day, that the yellow # 5 was the culprit for lower sperm count. It might just be an urban legend though. But it could also be a sign of Darwinism, weeding out the people who shouldnt be reproducing anyway. But then again, if an artificial coloring can lower sperm count, it cant lower it by much. We have millions of swimmers in our berry-sacs, so you'd have to drink a lot of the stuff for it to affect you.
