Comic Day. Are there any sweeter words? Why don't you come on in and join the discussion (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48518), and while you're at it, check out Diamond's new release lists (http://www.previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=6&s=430&ai=69149)

This week, on the unparalleled Johnny Gigawatt & the Tiger Men from Mars comic podcast (http://johnnygigawatt.com/), we discuss the horrible truth behind Final Crisis. Be warned!

Picks of the Week
Brave And The Bold #12 - This issue ties together all of the threads from the first year of Mark Waid's mega team-up book. Pretty much every character that appeared in the first 11 issues comes back in this one to face down the threat of Megistus.

Annihilation Conquest #6 - Marvel's newest foray into the realm of the Space Epic draws to a close. It's been a fun ride, with Abnett, Lanning and crew taking a bunch of underused characters and revitalizing them for the modern era.

Incredible Hercules #116 - For all of the brouhaha surrounding World War Hulk, there really weren't many lasting effects from the story. But inserting Hercules into his own book is benefit enough. Hercules and young Amadeus Cho make a tremendously appealing tandem, and the upcoming 'Sacred Invasion' is probably the most appealing Secret Invasion tie-in to date.

Question of the Week - It's the middle of the month, and that means solitications are up for Marvel (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/July2008/solicitations.html), DC (http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/July08/solicitations.html), Dark Horse (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0804/07/darkhorsejuly.htm) and IDW (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0804/05/idwjuly.htm). So, What looks good, what looks interesting, and what is the cover of the month?
