Rock Band Forums: (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42918)

This week's DLC for $1.99 per song (160 Microsoft Points) or these songs can also be bought in a 3-song Classic Rock pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft points). PS3 Store should be back up on Thursday so these tracks should come out then as well along with the last two weeks of DLC that they've missed.

"Call Me" by Blondie (master)
"Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (master)
"Message in Bottle" by the Police (master)
Looks like the Classic Rock Pack go a tweak with Call Me replacing Bad Company's Shooting Star.

I'll probably get it, but I wish they'd stop re-releasing Guitar Hero songs.

I don't... I wish they'd do more, then I wouldn't have to be switching discs. Plus now we have drums and vocals.

Two out of Three Aint Bad. I can do without Skynyrd.

And Message in a Bottle is actually a master this time.

I'll get the one Skynard song I actually like, makes my White Trash heritage proud I guess. Message in a Bottle is a must-buy for me. I respect Blondie, but I can live without Call Me.

Another solid release. As for Guitar Hero tracks being re-released... I would love to have "Cowboys from Hell" come out again. Not just for the added tracks, but so I could play it with pull-offs that worked better than GH1. :)

Seconded. That song would be so much easier with the more modern HO/PO system.

I would have loved Shooting Star....as it stands I'm only interested in Simple Man.

i would also like to cast my vote for Cowboys From Hell......more songs! moooaaarrrrr!

i seriously hope that every song ever made gets Rock Bandizized.

(did i write this post enough like an internet retard? i wasn't trying too hard which scares me...)

FUCK YOU. I don't ever want to hear "Message in a Bottle" ever, ever again. Damn you guys for including this (because, inevitably someone is going to own it when I'm playing on their RB setup)!

Agreed. And we're getting masters this time.

I find it extremely ironic that almost everybody (fans included) don't like Simple Man whereas it's the only Skynard song I like.

Oh and Blondie > Bad Company. Hell everyone > Bad Company.

I think you're in the wrong thread. lol!

Either way, I love Simple Man, so I'll definitly get that. Blondie? No. Message in a Bottle? Good song, but not good enough to have it on two games. Not really a big fan of the Police anyways.

I too would also like to see more GH songs released to RB. I liked that they released some of the GH1 songs for GH2 on the 360. Frankenstein and Bark at the Moon were insanely easy when you're able to PO/HO.

Technically you could Hammer on and pull off on the first guitar hero it was just a LOT more unforgiving in the timing. (which may be what you mean)

Sweet, I'm probably gonna get all of these. Simple Man is the only song here I don't really enjoy. I think Message in a Bottle will be crazy, I always loved listening to the drums on that song.

Also, I would love for them to keep putting good GH songs into RB. The more good songs in Rock Band the better (and I own both GH2 and 3).

Wow. That's one of my all time favorite songs. When I heard it announced quite some time back it made me order Rock Band.

Well, try and order. Still working on the actually having it get here part.

I've been waiting for Message in a Bottle to come around. It was the first song I really had to practice in GH2 to pass it. It gave me a great feeling of accomplishment to finish that one.

I think I'll pick up Blondie since it's not a bad song, and I'd really like more songs with female vocals. For Skynyrd I'm pretty much going to say what the hell and buy the pack, so I guess I'm picking up that one too!

The problem with the HO/PO system in GH1 was that you had to hold down all the buttons in order to get it to work. For example, if I want to hammer on green to red, I had to hold down green while hammering on red, instead of just being able to slide from one to the other like a real guitar. If you wanted to hit green then hammer on the yellow, you had to hold down green, red, and yellow in order to get it to work. It was really hard to get it to work ever. When they realized this, they fixed it, hence GH2's HO/PO system.

QFT. I always thought Skynyrd was overrated. But I'm LOVING the Blondie choice. I've been arguing (as have many others on this site) for a while that they needed more songs for the ladies to sing.

Obviously you are one of those sad, sad people who play Rock Band with a bunch of dudes. I mean the singing part of this game was practically custom made to get non-gamer women in the mix... and then they shipped it with what... a half-dozen songs with a female vocal lead?

Awe hell, I guess I'll be getting some more MS points next week, as I can see all three of these will be bought.

Yes, I had forgotten about the dreaded pull-offs in that game. I played it enough that I got quite good at hammer ons and pull-offs but the need to be holding on to the button you are pulling off to before releasing the other button always got to me on the faster sections. The new system is much less frustrating.

Agreed. Guitar Hero's songs were awesome and no one can deny that, but the use of the drums and vocals are what keep draining my wallet. My friends and I always say "These fit much better on Rock Band."
