The game now has a release date set in stone, May 23, as reported on Three Speech (http://threespeech.com/blog/?p=998):

The release date for Ubisoft/Free Radicals new first person shooter has been a little hazy (*cough*) over the last six months, but it has now been confirmed that the game will launch on May 23. This isnít another planned release date, and will not be subject to another delay, this is the real thing people!

Slightly, only because Timesplitters was so much damn fun. This seems to lack that personality, though. Regardless, there's no way I could see actually buying it until it hits the $20 range anyway, there's just too much out there that looks better to bother with it. Four player online co-op is a nice thing, though.

This is supposedly the European release date, no word on US release date unless they are doing a worldwide release.

I don't know yet if I care or not, I'll wait for some reviews. If the co-op is good I will most probably get it.

I don't really care as I wasn't planning on picking it up. However if the reviews come out and the game is better than just another medicore FPS then I'll pick it up.

In the year 2000, fugitives from justice will be able to avoid detection by lying on the ground and pretending to be dead.

Also: grapefruit will actually taste like grapes.

Who really cares about this game?

I really have seen nothing the least bit compelling about this game to separate it from the glut of FPS mediocrity that has flooded the scene in recent months.

For me, it's right down there with Turok, Turning Point, and Frontlines.

Talking about missing it's ideal window. Gone from hype to drab. Especially with Res 2 and Killzone 2 generating much more favored response.

The sad thing isn't that no one seems to care, it's that Free Rad could have made THREE Wii games with the amount of money they spent on Haze. That's two Timesplitters and one proper sequel to Goldeneye.

I smile on the inside to think of Timesplitters with the IR-pointing of the Wii remote.

I'm excited. It's Free Radical.

That game would make me fifty times more excited than Haze currently does.

Seconded.

And thirded to meet post requirements.

Additional text to note deliberate circumvention of school filter.

Buying it purely for the co-op. If the local co-op works well on this, I'll be there as long as the game is fun to play, of course.

Dont buy games because you thought the dev team made a good game before.

Example, Hellgate London.

He'd also like to be making Diablo 3, I'd imagine...ZING!!!

Mythos is better than HG:L. It hurts because it is true, and it has probably 1/2 the budget.

Quoted for truth. There are very few if any developers I trust blindly.

I like Free Radical (go fucking play Second Sight people. Or at least read the Edge Time Extend.) and I like co-op, so unless the reviews claim the game is fundamentally broken I'll give it a shot.
