The Heroes of Might & Magic forums (http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/frm/f/1851065692) has posted that Ubisoft (http://www.ubi.com/) is currently accepting sign-ups (http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/1851065692/m/5181035943)for a closed beta testing of Heroes of Might & Magic 5.

Registrations are open for the closed beta of Heroes of Might and Magic V! Register now for a chance to help balancing the game and discover first-hand the new Might and Magic universe.

The closed beta will begin mid-September and will last approximately 2 months.

A thousand testers from all origins and all playing backgrounds will be recruited; if you're new to the game you still have a chance of being selected so please answer the questionnaire honestly.

To take part in the beta you'll need a good internet connection in order to download the initial files and updates. Please make sure your PC has the latest drivers and updates as the code will not be optimised at this stage yet. Of course, knowing a bit of English will be more than helpful.
Release Date: TBA (PC (http://www.gametab.com/pc/heroes.of.might.and.magic.v/3911/))

Thanks to Blues (http://www.bluesnews.com/) for the tip.

Very nice.

Hmm...I thought the beta was already underway as I snagged a torrent of what was claimed to be the beta client and have already been playing the heck out of it. I signed up to be a legit tester though, as the game is already really damned good and I can't wait for its release.

The Heroes series is that introduced me to gaming all the way back in 97 with the orignal I've played and finished every title sevral times over and spent many a summer playing Hotseat with my friends. I hope its not first come first serve :(

What a coincidence, I've just picked up Heroes 2 off the shelf again about a week ago... what a great series.

As this is one of my most anticipated games, I'm not signing up for the beta. I want to hit it fresh and perfect so I get the most out of it.

did anyone here saw the M&M Dark messiah trailer in the Giga.de yesterday? it was amazing. I didn't understand the german though.

HommV looks so kick-ass. the new art direction is simply awesome AND the gameplay is shaping up quite nicely, from what I read.

Wouldn't it be bad-ass if the whole Might and Magic series started rocking in every aspect?
