The folks over at MyGamerCard (http://www.mygamercard.net/bsgsweepstakes/) have a kickass contest to celebrate the launch of Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica. Starting April 10th, MyGamerCard.net will randomly select a time each hour to poll entrants on Xbox Live; those that are playing Battlestar Galactica will receive an additional entry to the Sweepstakes.
The more you play, the more chances to win!
What can you win? Signed show scripts by the cast and crew. Replica models of a Viper, t-shirts, sweat shirts, shot glasses and more! Not a bad deal. Of course you'll have to play that frackin' Xbox Live Arcade title (which is half price tomorrow) to win. And while the game might not be the greatest, it's a small price to pay for free BSG stuff.
I'm currently working my way through season 3 so i can attempt to be caught up.
This is one damn good show.

Yea, I think Season 3 got kind of a bad rep, but if they had just done the same old "Run from the Cylons" that they did in Season 1 and Season 2, it would have stunk up the place.
I applaude the writers for trying some new things.
That is why I don't think they should cancel the series (and it was canceled, they didn't decide to "end" it after only 4 seasons).

Prove this.
I'll admit Wikipedia isn't the end-all be-all source of information, but I looked for the words "cancel" and "discontinue" on the page for the most recent BG series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica_%282004_TV_series%29) and found nothing.

From the Wiki: Producers David Eick and Ronald D. Moore have announced that the fourth season will be the series' last
The producers, and the network, are promoting this as the final season. It's pretty much set in stone right now, 10 episodes this year, 10 next year and that's it for the series (except for the Caprica spin-off/prequel)

I wanted him to prove that it was cancelled, not that it is merely being finished.
Unless you equate each and every television series' end to cancellation, which seems comparable to everyone retiring because they are dead.

I don't know about proof, but it's pretty rare for TV show producers to throw in the towel on a financially successful series just because they feel it's the right thing to do for the story.
Hope I'm not jumping into the conversation too late.. but as someone who's been listening to the Battlestar podcast/directors-commentary right through, Ron Moore (exec producer) has stated several times that he felt they kept Star Trek TNG going far too long, and they don't want to make that mistake with Battlestar. They seemed to have it planned this way for a while and, unless he's being real diplomatic, I don't think they've been cancelled.
Just be thankful they're not doing the "hey, we've found Earth, and whadayaknow: we just happen to have landed in present-day Los Angeles!" crap they did with the original series. ..I don't think the story-end is gonna lend itself well to any kind of follow-on series. Prequel is probably the way to go. (and they can still flesh-out the series like they did with The Resistance and Razor episodes/webisodes.)

As far back as I can remember they've touted season 4 as the end of this storyline (Caprica prequel notwithstanding).
