The map pack will be free (http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?story=weeklyupdateaug19&p=4488675=entire) as of August 30th. Of course, you'll need XBox Live to download the map pack to begin with. This is good news for Tuesday night Halo 2...as next week..we'll have even more maps to play with!

Kinda makes some Halo fans feeling regret buying those maps on the disc. But oh well all is good.

Not ten minutes ago I was trying to download the ones that are already free.. kept getting booted off of Live though, and then when I would get back on I could not download anything. Odd.

Anyway, I noticed they had a little thing on Live that said $11.99 (Free on August 30th!) like that is going to help sales any.

Hmmm, now I'll have to dust off the Halo 2 disc and jump back on Live. I used to play nightly but haven't played in a while. I am looking forward to the new multi-team games. Is the new playlist update included with the maps?

If I get on I'll hit up the EA Tuesday Night Halo 2.

Just a bit off-topic gang, the fellow geeks at ARGN.com seem to think they may have an ARG trail-head start at http://www.origenxbox360.com/

Could be worth a surf once the timer hits 0

Pretty sure this was clear from the very beginning how the pricing structure would work.

I'm glad I managed to hold out and not buy these extra maps. My willpower (and WoW addiction) has paid off!

What's that timer counting down exactly? 34 days and counting.

Hmmm, I have not checked with that browser yet. If you want more info on it go to www.argn.com then to the linked unfiction forums. In their basic general&news forums there is a large topic on the site and what it could mean.

I see the counter in Firefox.

I think you just need Flash.
