The more good news, the better. Here's something I saw on the news (http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa080325_jh_chemotheft.270c1441.html):

Kyle Spriggs comes once a month from Oklahoma to Children's Medical Center for chemotherapy to treat a brain tumor, sitting hours at a time.

Video games help him escape the pain. “They keep his attention off sitting there, getting that medication that he knows is going to make him sick,” said Trish Spriggs, Kyle’s mother.

Brief summary, when in Dallas, thieves stole his back-pack with his PSP and medication. The Dallas police bought him a new PSP with a bunch of games, and gave the family money to buy new medication.

Moved to News, where it really should have been all along. You can NEVER have too many happy news stories in this day and age.

Props to the cops. Maybe they even got him a copy of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

That warms my cold black heart. Sometimes after bad people do bad things, good people do good things. And thats what matters.

That made me snort and fart at the same time - a not entirely unpleasant feeling, if I'm being honest! :)

Very nice of the police. PSP's aren't cheap, and they don't get paid much.

It's always nice to hear good people doing nice things to make up for the assholes of this world. There really isn't much else you can do, since assholes are always going to be assholes. The only way to fight their influence is by doing as many nice things as you can every day of your life!

Ever feel sorry for yourself? Ever wonder why God won't help when your in a bad way...happens to me a lot lol then I wake up a bit and see young kids who are in cancer wards and I remember that God most likely doesn't get involved in our business down here. Because if he did surely little kids wouldn't have brain cancer. I just seen a story last night on Fox news about a 10 year old little girl who is dying of brain cancer and her last wish was to see her father 1 more time. He is in prison and for some reason the jails warden won't grant him a leave to see his dying daughter. What a damn shame. Props to the cops in this story btw..

This was a very cool deed from the cops. I wonder if the old PSP was a fatty and he got a slim one instead :).

It's too bad he'll be spending his time training on a murder simulator, though.

At least the cops will know his name and address when they have to go looking for him! ;)

Good job, Officers! :D

holy shiat...you, sir, owe me a new Logitech G15. While snarting may be ok, carbonated soda in the nose and on the keyboard is not. I work at one of the larger MMO companies in Austin so next time you are here, PM me, and I'll collect payment.

When the police do something wrong= front page news.

When the police do something right= somewhere on a video game website.

I understand the former, but not the latter. Props to EA for posting this info.

Good job getting this up as news, and even better to those who contact that link to compliment them directly!

The world isn't always a cesspool. Sometimes, you happen upon a small spring of fresh water. :)
