View Full Version : Bionic Commando Rearmed: Price, Platforms and Specs

Capcom today dropped (http://bioniccommando.com/us/blog_entries/view/151) a J-DAM worth of Bionic Commando: Rearmed news on unsuspecting gamers.

First up, we already knew that this update of the original Bionic Commando game would be headed to Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network, but confirmation came today that it would also be gracing the monitors of PC gamers.

The game will sell for $10 on PSN and 800 points on XBLA, with the PC price still to be determined. Capcom also announced that BC:R will be released sometime in the month of May

Those seem like hefty requirements for an XBLA game.

Those are low requirements. The Recommended Specs are what's going to run it with all of the bells and whistles.

Any word if this title in fact got 'gimped' for XBLA? Or has this too turned out to be a non-issue like SF2.

I checked out the movies.. looks nice, but I don't remember a top down view for some of the levels in bionic commando. Were those really there?

I checked out the movies.. looks nice, but I don't remember a top down view for some of the levels in bionic commando. Were those really there?I heard them say you can play through both the original version and this version at the same time with the same controller, so apparently they're identical.

In an update to that post though I looked for information or videos of them actually playing the game side-by-side with the older version, but I couldn’t find them. It seems they added some things such as the shotgun, and some new moves with the claw.

Those top down missions happened when you intercepted (or got intercepted) by a truck when moving between missions on the map screen. Basically they were the primary way to get continues.

They didn't meantion HOW they solved their size problems. Did MS give them a waver? They meantioned that the TEXTURES will be the same, but they didn't say that the whole game will be the same on all versions. Does this mean they had to use lower quality sound for the 360 version?

MS gave Capcom a waiver for this and Street Fighter.

Thats to bad, but honestly, we all know who they are so the different symbol is meaningless. Just think of it as Nazi's with a new friendlier, more "PC" symbol. :P Hey, these days even bad guys need PR people!
