[WoW] 2.4 today?

So I just noticed the background downloader downloaded the 2.4 patch, and now I can't log into my realm (Frostmane).

Anybody else having trouble getting on? I'm really looking forward to the patch with all the little changes and the new content.

Usually when there's a background download, the patch is going to be so big that if all released on the same day, everyone is going to get really pissed. So, it is released over several days. Blizz has done this in the past, and it helps out for everyone. Expect 2.4 to be final in the next few weeks.

I doubt you'll even see 2.4 next week from what I've seen coming out of the PTR. It seems like Bliz is still in tune mode for the Sunwell. They are likely pushing out the patch in parts as it'll be a big one.

Wowinsider.com made a mention of this. They said that while 2.3 and 2.1 were within a short amount of time after the downloader began, it took a while for 2.2 to go live after the downloader started.
