Caesar IV takes the city-building genre into the 21st century, with new gameplay and features, and a cutting edge 3D graphics engine developed specifically for the title.

In Caesar IV, players take on the role of an aspiring provincial governor within Caesar's empire as they build and manage an individual ancient Roman city and its province. For more Caesar IV details, screens, and trailer (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=27537), head over on to WorthPlaying.

Anyone else consider this the most addicting series ever? Hell, I grew up playing Caesar games :D

I just hope this isn't Children of the Nile 2....

At first I thought this was Caesar's Palace and I got really confused. But yes, I agree with you Crushy, I absolutely love this series. Never really got into sim-type games until I played the first Ceasar either. Maybe it was the setting and the fact it was actually a solid title. I'll be looking foward to checking this out more - hopefully in demo form, if they give one over.

I've always enjoyed all of the Impressions games, but Caesar definitely the most. They've always been a sure-fire way for me to kill an evening, and most of the early morning, without even realizing it.

Looks like this one isn't being done by Impressions, however - unless they were just the ones who did the Pharoah games? Can't recall.

They're fun games, but nothing is as addictive as Civilization.

Still I'm looking forward to playing Caesar IV.

i absolutely loved caesar 3. tremendous game. this, i hope, will be as good. However, using "cutting edge graphics engine" as one of your marketing points doesn't quite work. I mean, I can see the screenshots myself. They suck, to put it lightly.

Wait, those graphics suck? They seem pretty darn good to me...

Mind you, I've been playing KotOR, Civ3, and Pirates! lately, so I'm a bit behind the curve.

Yeah, the graphics do seem to be kind of lacking but if the gameplay stays the same it wolnt matter. I loved building up my cities and armys, but most of all I loved ignoreing ceasers orders and trying to fend off his armys.

If only CA could mix this type of game into the TW series. Just thinking about it gets me excited.

I've never played this series, but now, I'm thinking of picking it up. Might even check out Caesar 3. When was that made?
