I recently got back into playing WoW and i'm hooked. my character is currently 45 and i'm having a blast.
and sure WoW is addicting but in the long run it's saving me money. I have no desire to play anything else AT ALL right now thus saving me on buying other games.
This working out for anyone else?

It was like that for me when I first started WoW, around release time. It happened again around BC launch, too but it's not like there was much coming out otherwise during that time.
I'm going to get into WoW yet again pretty soon, but I'm going to try to get into a more casual play style so I don't burn through Wrath when it comes out. I've twice come to the conclusion that raiding isn't nearly as fun, for me, as questing and leveling so I'm going to try to take my time with the next expansion. I when from 60-70 in under 10 days with BC.

I would say mmos are the best deal in gaming by far as far as what your money gets you.

WoW or Gamefly.
I guess it all depends on how often you would otherwise buy games.

The problem I have is that I still buy other games, but then I don't play them much because I'm too busy playing WoW.

Yes...ummm...nnoooooo
Yeahh...that's the ticket.
Actually, I highly suggest playing WoW with a constant partner. It makes the game more fun IMO.

I'm saving some money now with Battlefield 2. Whenever I'm tempted by new games like CoD4, Quake Wars, and Front Lines, I just boot up Battlefield 2 and try to get over it. I'm probably missing a lot of good games, but meh.

It's true, and it doesn't have to be your wife. I played with a group of friends and we all grouped up and did everything together. It made it a lot of fun, and kept us from playing too much since we all had to be there. Except one of us who went a little crazy and played by himself... Betrayal!

I used to say the same thing, but then I realized that once I get burned out on WoW for a few months, I end up buying all the games I didn't buy while I was addicted.
I suppose it's possible I just missed out on a bunch of other games, but it feels like I'm on a buying frenzy as soon as the addiction fades.

I'm the same way. I stop playing MMOs, realize how fun and gratifying single player games can be (you know... actually being able to beat and finish a game) and I go on a total binge buying games like crazy and beating them as quickly as I can. Then I decide I want to go back to an MMO and the cycle repeats.

Free MMO's no matter how crappy, are always the best deal.
