Powered by an enhanced version of Valve's Source Engine, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic will allow players to immerse themselves in an environment that responds and envelops them like never before, thanks to the Source Engine's exceptional technological enhancements in areas such as character animation, advanced AI, real-world physics and shader-based rendering.

Check 7 new Dark Messiah of Might & Magic screens (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=27498) over at WorthPlaying.

Players will embody the young hero Sareth, who has been trained in the arts of magic and war in order to battle the prophetic Dark Messiah. Players will have the choice to become expert warriors, mages or assassins, each with their own cache of devastating weapons and spells to use in battling huge and vicious enemies. Through combat, players will unlock new skills and equipment, advancing Sareth's experience and improving his performance, battle combos, hits, spells and techniques and setting his course for his destiny.

Whoa. A Might and Magic game on the Source engine? I don't think I'll be the only one saying kick-ass to this.

Amazing -- they took the Source engine and made it look like shit.

Look like shit? :( I liked the pics. Especially that view of the water and mountains...

After reading the description, I can't feel but puzzled. Is that really an RPG? The description made it sound like a pure shooter (emphasis on the number of weapons, only 12 levels, multiplayer modes...).
Of course, we'll see once it's released.

It sounds like the RPG is lite to say the least. They even say "subtle RPG elements".

Looks like Ars Fatalis (not a bad thing) redone by LOTR art staff (not a bad thing) using the Source engine (not a bad thing).

Yet, it looks like a bad thing.

The video looked really interesting to me. Personally, I'm psyched to see how it turns out, officially.

Am I the only one having flashbacks to Warriors of Might and Magic? Or Legends? Or Crusaders?

For fnord's sake, take the lession away already: The Might and Magic Franchise is cursed to provide good turn-based strategy as in Heroes, and fun RPGs in the base series.

Here I was hoping for Might and Magic X.

This is NOTHING like a M&M game...

I think this could be fun... if they drop a demo and its good I'll pick it up for sure.

A little meh, but I hope they nail that cool M&M feeling. right now it looks like morrowind.

I really wish I couldn't say it, but I can and so I will.

I told you so.

I still think the gameplay looks like it could be fun. Like someone said above, if they do a demo and it's good and/or it gets good reviews, it will definitely be on my buy list.
