GT Legends is the ultimate historic racing simulation bringing back the legendary spirit of the 60s and 70s. From the famous Mini Cooper to the muscular Corvette Stingray and fire breathing BMW CSL, GT Legends is the first game featuring all the legends of classic car racing. With a new engine, improved graphics and an extended list of features, GT Legends will provide high authenticity, a detailed presentation and thrilling entertainment behind the steering wheel of an untamed racing beast.
10tacle has released a demo for SimBin's racer GT Legends, giving you the chance to drive one of three FIA GTC-65 class cars against up to 10 computer controlled opponents, at the famous Dijon circuit (including two different layouts).

Umm I was tempted to try this out then I read this
" This demo is protected with StarForce protection technology and requires
StarForce protection drivers to be installed on your system.
If you are concerned about StarForce protection drivers being installed on your
system, you may wish to use sfp.exe in the game's root directory."
Ahhh a demo being protected ... no thanks.

Yeah WTF? Sloppy demo publishing I guess, too fucking lazy to remove the nazi protection from it, OR its so deeply ingrained in the code that theres no way to remove a part of it even for a demo, fucking bullshit. I guess at least they have the decency to tell you that its in there.
FUCK STARFORCE, burn the offices to the ground!

thnx for the tip no way and no sale
They have to include this protection with the demo if it's on the retail cd. Otherwise pirates would compare the protected exe with the demo's and easily remove the protection.
Not that I'm defending this practice. I avoid Starforce at all costs. Thanks for the warning, Brain.

Guys stop being overly anal protective about your PC and just run the fugging thing. I run it... and my PC still functions in a megatron esq way. So stop being so .. well.. pussy!
Anyway back on topic.
I tried the demo, it's essentially the same as GTR (The GTR Demo used the same protection system btw ;) ) but is a bit more polished and refined. The graphics of course have been improved, and the game runs a lot more smoothly, loads quicker and handles better than GTR.
One great thing is the inclusion of standing starts (for those who played GTR online, you'll know what I mean about the rolling starts, lag anyone?). Sound wise, the cars still sound spot on, although I think GTR still captures the raw grunt of the V10's a bit better.
It's a fun game to play, I was trying out the chevrolet which slides round the corners gracefully but I managed to keep it on track 90% of the time! A first for a game in the same vein as GTR. The final version includes BMW's and even original Mini's which should be a blast. Like GTR I hope they release another demo, this time a multiplayer one.
Now stop being all picky and play it :P

Also, unlike SafeDisc, the Starforce protection system only affects the game you're playing. It doesn't install preventative measures to affect the burning of CDs (Such as Unreal Tournament 2003 was going to do, not sure if it still does). Toca Race Driver 2 also came with Starforce protection. So far I'd say it's one of the best copy protection's around, and apropriate for these kind of games.
Scared of copy protection, hehehe.
