I hope The Bank Job is good, Jason Statham rules!

That "trash" was quite entertaining. Not everything needs to be a There Will Be Blood or No Country to get my money. I can enjoy the trashy fair too. Plus, Will Farrell. Comedy gold.

Aren't you getting a bit bored of his films by now? I've you seen one you've seen them all at this point.

Where was this opening comment for the other past weeks? If anything, Semi-Pro is GOLD compared to the shit that's been number one in the past. And I'm only getting worked up about this because I love Will Farrel, that man can do no wrong.

That didn't stop us from going to all the Jim Carrey movies, did it?

Was Semi-Pro any good? I love Will but didn't think Blades of Glory was that great. I really liked Taladega though.

It was definitely not the best Will Ferrell flick, but I still managed to enjoy Semi-Pro. I also hope he continues this R rating on his flicks, although I'm sure these low box office numbers will make him do the opposite.

I heard poor things about Sei-Pro...I hope this means and end to his reign of terror.
I don't mind the guy as an actor so much - that is to say, I can stand him in some movies, like Stranger Than Fiction - but the string of pointless, brainless comedies has got to stop, IMO.

Dribbled is a very correct adjective....

Juno still raking in money. Good for them.

Exactly what I was thinking. Great to see Juno still in the top 10. Juno and No Country were by far my favorite movies this year.

You're right! People are forcing you to see those movies! FUCK!

Prediction : Semi-Pro will bomb starting next week....even people on ESPN panned it for being bad after having Ferrell all over the network Friday.
Fact : Juno will never leave the top 10.

lol, um yes, it did indeed stop me from seeing his movie. I believe his career can be summed up with the Dumb and Dumber most annoying noise scene.

Ironically, Dumb & Dumber is still probably the only movie of his I still like.
The problem is that so many of his movies are like that. One dose is all you need.

I saw Semi-Pro on Saturday. It was entertaining enough, but nowhere near as good as Anchorman or Blades of Glory. I liked it more than Talladega Nights though.

Damn, Be Kind Rewind isn't even on the list? I thought it was supposed to be funny?

Semi-pro tanked , 15 million is not what they were expecting I am sure. It will still make money when all is said and done but I think Will's 40000 minutes are up :) J/K I think he's a funny bastard.

Good to see Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins still hanging in there...
I really liked Anchorman and Talladega Nights. Blades of Glory was fun too, but Semi-Pro was just bad. It really only had about 3 or 4 funny parts in the entire movie.

Ugh, count me in the camp of those sick of the Will Ferrell schlock. I loved Stranger Thank Fiction. It's too bad the rest of his movies aren't more in that vein.
I rank him right up there with Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler as most annoying actors of the last decade. Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller are also top contenders.

That is a great movie. Carrey did a great job in that one and really redeemed himself in my eyes.

The Truman Show and Man on the Moon had already done that for me...Eternal Sunshine was amazing, though.

Might be my favorite movie of all time. Before that I had totally dismissed him as an idiotic funny guy I couldn't stand (Dumb and Dumber, Cable Guy, etc). I didn't mind The Mask or the first Ace Ventura, though.

The Truman Show is also a great movie. It's my other favorite Carrey flick.
