Rag Doll Kung Fu creator Mark Healey was kind enough to answer a few questions for me (http://jeffool.blogspot.com/2005/08/rag-doll-kung-fu-interview.html) for my blog, Outside Looking In (http://www.jeffool.com/). I've taken the opportunity to ask him a little about himself and his game. Of particular interest to those looking forward to it...Well, I never ever said the game would be free, I don't know where that came from, not me, that's for sure. And the release date, well, yes, you know how these things go – I never intended for it to become such a time consuming project – after the initial buzz that was created, I felt this pressure to make something really special – and I am very proud of the result; I've amazed myself. There's a hell of a lot in the game now, 10 quid is an absolute bargain, if you ask me.And ask I did. I didn't want to take too much of his time, but I found it informative.

I thought he had said it was going to be free... I don't remember where I read it, and I haven't been following the project... but the one write up I did read about it a long time ago, I thought, said it was goign to be made freely available or something.
Maybe not, but thats' what I had in my head. It had to have gotten there somehow...

I can't figure out where I read that it was free either.
Judging by the current screenshots, it looks like a game. I remeber the first shots, it seemed to be more of a "look what I can do!" and looked like a free kind of thing.
What I mean is, it no longer looks like a freeware game, it will also be intersting to see if Valve will use Steam as a platform for other companies.
Oh, and good interview jeffool.

I thought so too, which is why I worded "inclusion of a price" like I did. But I agree with him. It looks to be a steal at the price of ~$20, as I imagine myself having lots of fun with it.

i don't think anyone said it was going to be free - of course, it's coming on steam, the same place where project gordon was free - maybe that?
i'm looking forward to this. my favourite type of games are more toys than games in the traditional, linear sense. that's why i'm a multiplayer whore. and why i love games like n (http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=12114) and simcity/setttlers type games.

It looks more like a tech demo than a game.

yeah the game looks like it should be judged harshly if they're going to put a dollar value to it, seems more novel than fun. The cutscenes, if they're actually in the game(not only the trailer) look really lame like Kung Faux.

You win a billion points for actually asking the person who would know.

I wonder if the DS could handle the physics.
